There are seven racecourses available for wagering at BetOnline on Wednesday. Kelso is listed under the US thoroughbred tab at the racebook. This track is located in the UK, so if you are betting Kelso Racecourse just keep that in mind on Wednesday morning. If you are hungry for another big stakes race after the Kentucky Derby, then you are going to be disappointed until the Preakness Stakes in mid-May. However, you can take a look at Belmont Park this weekend for a $700,000 Grade 1 race on the turf. The Man o’ War is scheduled to take place Saturday afternoon in New York at Belmont Park. Along with the Man o’ War, we also have the $200,000 Peter Pan Stakes (Gr. 3) at Belmont on Saturday.
We will open the day at Finger Lakes Racetrack in Farmington, NY. This racecourse is located about a 1:20 hr drive away from Buffalo and only 25 minutes from Rochester. Finger Lakes is always a reliable option during the spring and summer months during the week in the afternoon. They have eight races on Wednesday with a total of $135,200 in prize money available. Head below for our free Finger Lakes Racetrack picks for May 5, 2021.

Race 3 goes for 5 furlongs on the dirt for a $24,500 purse. It isn’t a big field, but we should have a good one between Fleet Warrior and Moonachie. Fleet Warrior is 3 for 23 in his career and is looking to bounce back after struggling at Aqueduct Racetrack over the last few months.
After going 1st and 3rd at Penn National, Fleet Warrior transferred to Aqueduct and went 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th. He had a good start to show 3rd in a $72,000 event. That was impressive from Fleet Warrior. However, he’s been tailing off to go 4th, 5th, 10th in his next three assignments.
In his most recent, Fleet Warrior finished 10th in the $45,000 Days Caps Stakes. He transfers to Finger Lakes searching for an easier time. Fleet Warrior should get it, but Moonachie should provide some resistance. Moonachie is 3 for 11 in his career and coming off a winning performance on March 20. He’s gone 2nd, 1st, 4th, 2nd, 1st in his previous five attempts.
One of those wins came at Aqueduct and the other at Laurel Park. In his most recent outing, Moonachie beat Quickflash by 2 ¼ lengths in a $72,000 event at Aqueduct. The $85,000 Moonachie has looked good in morning workouts after that March 20 win as well. He most recently completed 4 furlongs in 49.10 seconds on April 27. This should be a winning spot for him against inferior foes at Finger Lakes.

Distance:4 ½ Furlongs
Race 5 is a $11,500 event covering 4 ½ furlongs on the dirt. Margarita Sunrise and Baseballnbourbon should be the frontrunners to watch for in this event. Margarita Sunrise is 11 for 54 in his career, with a win on October 19 in his latest entry.
He’s coming off a layoff, but can win with a similar performance. Margarita Sunrise defeated Fifty Eight O G by 2 ½ lengths for a $10,000 prize in that one. The Finger Lakes mainstay has raced in Farmington in every race since April of 2018. Prior to his win, Margarita Sunrise went 4th, 7th, 6th so it was a step in the right direction.
His April 27 workout was in good order with a time of 49.10 seconds at 4 furlongs. If that’s any indication, then Margarita Sunrise didn’t lose his form. He should be tested by Baseballnbourbon in his reappearance. Baseballnbourbon has gone 8 for 44 in his career, and is transferring to Finger Lakes after running at Penn National. He has gone 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 5th, 2nd, 4th in his previous six attempts.
Baseballnbouron was a 5 ½ winner in a $10,000 race on August 17. He’s coming off a 4th place finish in a $19,000 assignment on April 16. Preceding that race, Baseballnbourbon placed 2nd behind Intercept by 1 length in a similar $19,000 race. Down in class, expect a bold bid from Baseballnbourbon to win.

Distance:4 ½ Furlongs
In Race 7 at Finger Lakes, we have a 4 ¼ furlong event for a $17,600 purse. Thesis and Super Garner should have a presence in this event. Thesis is 4 for 22 in his career that has finished 2nd, 3rd, 2nd in his previous three attempts.
He most recently placed 2nd behind Smart Two a T by ¾ lengths for a $10,800 purse on November 18, 2020. Thesis has been running well, but the class hike to a $17,600 assignment indicates he is going to need to be better to score a win here. He’s worth a look based on the value.
Super Garner is 13 for 38 in his career, and has finished 1st in four straight performances at Charles Town. He transfers to Finger Lakes in terrific form after a half length win for a $24,500 purse. Prior to that win, Super Garner beat Scottish Man in a blowout by 8 lengths for a $24,500 purse. This race should feel even easier for him on Wednesday afternoon. There isn’t a whole lot to dislike about Super Garner.
