We’re off and running on Wednesday at the BetOnline racebook. BetOnline has six racecourses available for wagering on the Wednesday card. They are all low and mid-tier tracks, but let’s see what we can do with the racing action today.
Gulfstream Park is racing on Wednesday. The track in Hallandale Beach is home to the next million-dollar races. Gulfstream will host the Pegasus races, with millions up for grabs. Following the Pegasus, the $20,000,000 Saudi Cup is scheduled around a month later.
Our first look on Wednesday is at Gulfstream Park. Gulfstream has ten races worth $449,000 in prize money. Head below for our free Gulfstream Park picks for December 29, 2021.

Distance: 5 ½ Furlongs
Race 3 is a $16,000 event covering 7 ½ furlongs on the dirt. Stuck on Kitten and Prudent Song should be involved in the stretch.
Stuck On Kitten has finished 2nd, 7th, 2nd in three attempts. She came close in two attempts, opening in 2nd on December 4, 2020 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Stuck On Kitten was 1 length away from Miss Dracarys in an $80,000 assignment. In his latest attempt, she placed 2nd behind Code Name Lise by 2 lengths in a $32,000 race.
Prudent Song has been banging hard at the wire. In three attempts, she has placed 2nd in three straight.
In her latest outing, Prudent Song placed 2nd behind Honorgetic by a nose for $55,000. That was after placing behind Magic Moonstar by a nose in the same grade.
Her persistent work is likely to pay off well on Wednesday.

Distance:5 ½ Furlongs
Race 5 is a $34,000 event covering 5 ½ furlongs on the synthetic track at Gulfstream. The Connector and Belgrano should have a big chance to get this one done.
The Connector is 8 for 23 in his career and has finished 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 6th, 3rd in his previous five attempts. He hasn’t won since a 1 ¼ length win over Backwoods Boogie for a $25,000 purse on August 4.
He’s been to four different tracks in four races since that win. In his latest attempt, The Connector was in a stakes race on December 4 at Gulfstream.
The Connector showed 3rd in the $90,000 Claiming Crown Canterbury Tom Metzen Memorial Starter Stakes. It was a solid effort, with The Connector coming 1 length and a neck off from a win.
Down to this level for a $34,000 prize, The Connector has to be taken seriously on these terms. If he can run in the same form, he’s going to be close.
Belgrano is 8 for 34 and was on a hat-trick before slipping up in that stakes race. He won three in a row from June 20 to October 10.
In his last win, Belgrano defeated Gone Inzane by 3 ¼ lengths for a $46,350 purse. That was a good go, but Belgrano wasn’t interested in the Claiming Crown Canterbury Tom Metzen.
Belgrano finished 7th in the event. While that wasn’t pretty, Belgrano is capable of much better than that attempt. In a bounce-back bid, expect Belgrano to look much better in this one.
