We’re off and running on Wednesday with eight racecourses available for wagering in the US. There aren’t any marquee tracks open on Wednesday, and this isn’t the biggest weekend for stakes racing.
The $300,000 Los Alamitos Futurity (Gr. 2) is the feature event on Saturday. Fair Grounds Race Course has the most stakes races with seven on the schedule. There isn’t any stakes racing on Wednesday afternoon.

Race 2

Race 2 at Gulfstream Park goes for 7 furlongs on the dirt for a $28,000 purse. Seven horses are scheduled to participate in this assignment.
Old Time Revival and Life In Shambles should be running up front in the final furlong. Old Time Revival is 4 for 34 in his career, and has finished 2nd, 6th, 7th in her last three attempts.
He placed 2nd behind Blessed Journey by 4 lengths for a $28,000 purse. After that go, Old Time Revival finished 6th in the $125,000 Florida Sire Wildcat Heir Stakes on September 25.
Old Time Revival was unable to get back on track November 5 for a $36,000 purse, finishing 7th in that one to signal a class drop to $28,000.
Life In Shambles is 13 for 64 and has finished 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 3rd in his previous four attempts. He was a winner on January 30 with a 2 ¼ length $31,000 win.
Life In Shambles couldn’t follow up, but showed well to finish 3rd on August 14. This doesn’t look tough. Life In Shambles looks like the best.

Consider looking at Designed to Dazzle and Stormy Stella for a win in Race 4. This 5-furlong event is worth $32,000 on Wednesday.
Designed to Dazzle has finished 3rd, 2nd in two attempts in her career. She showed 3rd on August 22 for a $37,500 purse, and then placed 2nd behind Wow Tapit by 3 ½ lengths in a $23,000 race.
Improvement was expected for a win, but Designed to Dazzle wasn’t bad to place 2nd. The filly will have to contend with a dangerous Stormy Stella.
Stormy Stella has finished 7th, 5th in two attempts in her career. She was 7th on August 13 in a $100,000 purse. Then 5th on October 24 in a $84,000 race.
A drop to $32,000 should help give Stormy Stella what she’s looking for on Wednesday.

Race 9 covers 1 1/16 miles on the all-weather-track for a $61,000 purse. Grand Ave Girl and Sweet Serenade should have a strong run for the top prize in this one.
Grand Ave Girl has finished 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 1st in four races. In her most recent outing, she looked good for a 7 ¼ length win in a $52,000 event.
That was impressive form after showing 3rd on September 23 in a $52,000 assignment. Sweet Serenade should be a tough one for Grand Ave Girl.
Sweet Serenade has finished 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 2nd in five attempts. She was a winner on August 22 with a 2 ½ length score for a $123,200 purse.
In her last outing, Sweet Serenade placed 2nd behind Dreidel by 1 ¼ lengths in a $101,200 race. At $61,000, Sweet Serenade should be regarded as the top contender in this one.
