BetOnline has a big card of racing for a weekday card, with nine race tracks on the agenda. Pick your favorite track, or follow along and tail what TheSportsGeek is playing today. This isn’t a day for big stakes racing. In fact, the only notable track to point out that is operating is Gulfstream Park. There are a couple of stakes races to be had in Florida that aren’t at Gulfstream, though.
The running of the $100,000 Lightning City Stakes and $100,000 Turf Dash Stakes. There aren’t any stakes racing at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday, but a big weekend awaits in Hallandale Beach. There are nine stakes events on Saturday, including the running of the main event of the weekend with the running of the $300,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes.
We’ll get started at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday with three selections. Gulfstream Park has ten races on the card worth a total of $314,000. Head below for our free Gulfstream Park picks for February 24, 2021.

Race 2 covers 7 furlongs on the main track for a $22,000 purse. Six horses are expected to participate, with Fielder and Man of Vision working checking out. Fielder is 6 for 38 in his career, and has been in fine form recently, going 3rd, 3rd, 11th, 2nd, 3rd in five straight performances. In his best out of that group, Fielder placed 2nd behind Hero Tiger by ¾ lengths in a $28,000 assignment.
It was a good effort, and Fielder made another good effort on February 10 in a $31,000 event. Fielder showed 3rd, and considering the drop in class to a $22,000 race, he must be considered on these terms. Expect Fielder to be in the mix in the stretch run against Man of Vision. Man of Vision is hot with two straight wins and 4 for 7 in his career.
Man of Vision won on January 10 over Gemo by 2 ¾ lengths in a $22,000 event. He returned on January 30 for another win, this time over Kalu by 1 ¼ lengths in a $19,000 assignment. This is a similar race to the last two. If Man of Vision shows up interested in running, then a win is going to be close for him.

Race 5 is a $23,000 event across a mile on the main track. Nacho Papa and Brasstown should be involved in this event. Nacho Papa is 3 for 23 in his career, with some consistent results recently. He has finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd in his previous three trips. Nacho Papa placed 2nd behind Scar by a head in a $40,000 event.
He showed 3rd in a $44,000 event on January 17 in a much tougher race than he’s going to experience on Wednesday. There isn’t any question that a performance like that put Nacho Papa close in the stretch. Brasstown has finished top-3 in seven straight games. He won two races ago on December 23 in a $31,000 event by 6 ¼ lengths.
Brasstown most recently appeared on January 27 in a $23,000 event. Overall, Brasstown is 4 for 21 in his career. Brasstown was a $230,000 purchase, and I have to say, he has fallen below expectations. He’s coming off a poor performance just under a month ago, but I’m confident that we can see Brasstown back in the winner’s circle on Wednesday. This is not the toughest assignment.

Race 7 is our final look for the day at Gulfstream Park. Eight horses are scheduled to run 6 furlongs for a chance at the top prize of a $37,000 purse. Sunshine City and Include the Beast must be two participants considered to win in Race 7. Sunshine City is 2 for 8 in her career, with a win most recently on August 2.
She finished 8th, 3rd, 4th in her next three performances. In her latest performance, Sunshine City was 4th on December 27 in a $37,000 event. She had a late bid in the stretch, but couldn’t get up to her desired speed. Sunshine City has the talent to bounce back here and make things competitive. Include the Beast was a two-time winner to open her career on October 17 and December 19.
In her most recent win, she defeated Lights On Girl by 2 ¾ lengths in a $30,000 event. Her hat-trick bid was spoiled on February 3. Include the Beat came up short in a $40,000 race. 4th, but relatively close, as she was 3 lengths and a neck behind the winner. It was a highly entertaining finish at the wire with Include the Beast not far off. A similar performance could be good enough.
