There will be some big-time racing coming up this weekend at Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, and Woodbine. Belmont and Woodbine both have a million dollar race up for grabs this weekend. Churchill Downs has three Breeders’ Cup Challenge Races on the schedule Saturday.

We are heading to Indiana Grand for our first stop on Tuesday. Indiana Grand has nine races worth $250,000 this afternoon. Head below for our free Indiana Grand picks for September, 14, 2021

Race 1

(1) Piedi Amoy
+800 (8/1)
(2) Wicked Justice
+450 (9/2)
(3) Dreamers Dream
+350 (7/2)
(4) Shes My Treasure
+800 (8/1)
(5) Oxbow’s Image
+600 (6/1)
(6) Justa Doll
+120 (6/5)

Post Time: 2:25 p.m. EST
Distance:5 ½ Furlongs

The first race at Indiana Grand is a 5 ½ furlong event for a $17,500 purse. Dreamers Dream and Justa Doll should be closely watched in this assignment. Dreamers Dream is winless in seven attempts, and has yet to finish in the top-3.

She finished 5th, 6th, 4th, 6th in her previous four outings. After finishing 6th for a $36,000 purse on September 2, Dreamers Dream is dropping in class.

Smart move after failing to be competitive in a higher class. This should be much more manageable for Dreamers Dream at $17,500.

Justa Doll is winless in eight races, but has been more competitive and consistent. She has finished 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd in her previous four outings.

Justa Doll placed 2nd behind Go Get Em by 2 ¾ lengths in a $11,000 race, and then came back to show 3rd in a $11,000 and $36,000 event. She finished more than 7 lengths ahead of Dreamers Dream there. Down in class, now she has a chance to beat Dreamers Dream and everyone else.

Race 3

(1) Pretty Boy Elm
+1000 (10/1)
(2) Maters N Taters
+400 (4/1)
(3) Fallen Empire
+300 (3/1)
(4) Touchofchilipepper
+1500 (15/1)
(5) B Trouble
+180 (9/5)
(6) Sturgill
+250 (5/2)

Post Time: 3:27 p.m. EST
Distance:5 ½ Furlongs

Race 3 covers 5 ½ furlongs on the dirt for a $36,000 purse. Maters N Taters and B Trouble are on my shortlist in this race. B Trouble has finished 6th, 1st, 4th, 3rd in his career, with a winning run on May 12 for a $20,000 purse.

B Trouble beat All the Diamonds by 9 ½ lengths in a blowout. However, he hasn’t been in the same form since then, and needs something to go his way on Tuesday afternoon. B Trouble most recently showed 3rd in a $36,000 assignment on August 24. I think more is going to be required for a win in this spot.

Maters N Taters is a live dog in Race 3. The gelding is 4 for 23 in his career, finishing 11th, 4th, 6th, 3rd in his previous four outings. In his most recent attempt, Maters N Taters showed 3rd for a $41,000 purse. That was a solid attempt in a tougher class than this. He was 5 ¾ lengths off the lead in a tougher race than he’ll experience on Tuesday.

The Bet

Race 7

(1) Miss Dial
+800 (8/1)
(2) Cardigan
+2000 (20/1)
(3) Ten At Twelve
+160 (8/5)
(4) Quality of Mercy
+600 (6/1)
(5) Halaga
+450 (9/2)
(6) Wicked Ecstasy
+3000 (30/1)
(7) Villereggia
+1200 (12/1)
(8) Lofthouse
+800 (8/1)
(9) Honest Intentions
+500 (5/1)

Post Time: 5:31 p.m. EST
Distance:5 ½ Furlongs

Race 7 is a $34,000 event covering 5 ½ furlongs. Halaga and Ten At Twelve are likely winners of this event. Halaga opened her career going 4th on July 31 for a $51,000 purse.

After that attempt, Halaga is going right back down in class to a $34,000 race. This should be more manageable. He’s looked good in morning workouts with times of 48.60, 49.20, and 48.80 seconds at 4 furlongs. I think Halaga is capable of making some noise against this competition.

Ten At Twelve should offer the most resistance. She is coming off a solid debut on August 18, placing 2nd behind Current Climate by 3 ¾ lengths for a $34,000 purse. The $300,000 Twn At Twelve is open to a lot of improvement.

The filly completed an impressive workout in a tune-up for Tuesday. She was clocked at 46.60 seconds and looked like a $300,000 horse in that instance. Ten At Twelve appears to have the edge.
