Indiana Grand Selections for September 28, 2021 – Horse Racing Picks

BetOnline has a full slate of horse racing action on Tuesday afternoon and evening. You aren’t going to find any of the marquee tracks running on Tuesday, but there’s still plenty of options on the racecourse.

$25 Risk-Free Horse Racing Bet!

Soon there is going to be every major sport and horse racing at our disposal. The NBA and NHL regular seasons are right around the corner, while the NFL and college football is in full swing. The World Series isn’t that far off as well.

Fall is the best time of the year for sports in my opinion. Also, don’t forget about the biggest horse racing event in the US in November at Del Mar. The Breeders’ Cup is scheduled for early November, so we’re almost about a month away.

For our first look on Tuesday, we’re going to handicap the card at Indiana Grand in Shelbyville. Indiana Grand has ten races worth $240,500 this afternoon. Head below for our free Indiana Grand picks for September 28, 2021.

Post Time: 2:56 p.m. EST
Distance:1 Mile
Purse:$17,500

Race 2 is a mile on the dirt for a $17,500 purse. I would pay attention to what Dash Of Simplicity and Lush Be A Lady have to offer in this assignment.

Dash Of Simplicity is winless in seven attempts. She has finished 3rd, 4th, 7th, 3rd in her previous four attempts.

In her previous attempt, Dash Of Simplicity showed 3rd for a $15,500 purse on September 7. This was after finishing 7th in a $14,000 assignment on November 10.

I don’t think this is any tougher than she’s experienced in the past, and only Lush Be A Lady is in better form the way I see it.

Lush Be A Lady is winless in ten attempts, but has been consistent as of late. She has finished 2nd, 2nd, 7th, 2nd in her previous four, placing 2nd nicely in her last.

Lush Be A Lady placed 2nd behind Stargazer Lily by a half length for a $14,000 purse. That was nice improvement after 7th on August 10 in a $36,000 event. Against this field, she should make out well in the stretch run.

(7) Traumarama
+600 (6/1)
(8) Lady Leah
+250 (5/2)
(9) Air Turbulence
+3000 (30/1)

Post Time: 3:27 p.m. EST
Distance:7 ½ Furlongs
Purse:$16,500

Race 3 is a 7 ½ furlong event for a $16,500 purse on the turf. Nine runners are expected to participate, with Lady Leah and Antalya likely in big form in this race.

Lady Leah is 7 for 29, and has finished 1st, 9th, 8th, 2nd in her previous four outings. She was a winner on January 14 for a $16,500 prize, and then came back to go 9th, 8th, 2nd.

In her most recent, Lady Leah placed 2nd behind Ginormous by ¾ lengths for a $14,500 purse. That was a decent effort after dropping in class. She might need more to beat Antalya, though.

Antalya is 10 for 44 in her career, and has finished 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 3rd in her previous four outings. She was a ¾ length winner for a $15,500 purse.

That was a solid run, and she’s stayed in good form despite coming up short in her next two events. Antalya placed 2nd behind Malibu Moira by ¾ lengths for a $16,500 purse.

I think she has what it takes to get past this beatable field. It isn’t the most difficult assignment that she’s had to deal with.

The Bet

Race 5

(1) Ursulina
+400 (4/1)
(2) Sacred Peace
+1500 (15/1)
(3) Que Sera Sera

(4) Double Dare You
+800 (8/1)
(5) Lemos Cunha
+600 (6/1)
(6) Betcha
+800 (8/1)
(7) Je Suis Belle
+160 (8/5)
(8) Azurita
+1000 (10/1)
(9) Miller’s Maiden
+1200 (12/1)

Post Time: 4:29 p.m. EST
Distance:5 Furlongs
Purse:$36,000

Race 5 is a $36,000 event covering 5 furlongs on the turf. Je Suis Belle and Miller’s Maiden are on my shortlist in this spot. Miller’s Maiden might be good for a big upset.

Miller’s Maiden has been coming on nicely recently. She has finished 4th, 4th, 5th, 1st in her previous four attempts.

Miller’s Maiden is coming off a 4 length win for a $34,000 purse. That was a good effort from Miller’s Maiden after finishing 5th on June 29 for a $31,000 prize.

Je Suis Belle is 13 for 67 and has finished in the top-3 in six straight outings. She has finished 1st, 3rd, 1st in her previous three attempts.

In her July 20 assignment three races back, Je Suis Belle beat Signify by a nose for a $36,000 purse. In her latest attempt, Je Suis Belle beat Creative Credit by a neck on August 25. All she does is run well. She is feeling confident at the moment and should have the best chance.
