Post Time: 8:40 p.m. EST
Distance:6 Furlongs

In the fifth race at Mountaineer, we have a $8,500 event covering 6 furlongs. Quiet Dawn and Hindenseek Sally should play a big role in this event.

Quiet Dawn is 4 for 30 and coming off a win on August 15. It was a progressive performance for Quiet Dawn, as she defeated Oya by 1 length for a $8,100 purse.

This was after Quiet Dawn wasn’t finding any traction. The filly finished 8th, 6th, 5th, 5th in four races before going in for that win. Prior to the win, Quiet Dawn finished 5th in a $8,300 assignment.

Hidenseek Sally has consistency on her side. She has finished 7 for 49 in her career, finishing 3rd, 1st, 2nd in her career. Hidenseek Sally defeated Roraima by 6 lengths for a $8,300 purse on August 9.

She wasn’t able to follow up on August 22, but still put in solid work to place 2nd behind Pleasant Buffy by a head in the same class. She stays put in a $8,5000 event and should have the best chance at a win.

Post Time: 9:30 p.m. EST
Distance:6 Furlongs

Race 7 is a 6-furlong event with $18,800 up for grabs. Parker Madison and Super Lucy are on my shortlist in this spot. Super Lucy is 1 for 5 in her career.

She has finished 7th, 8th, 6th, 1st, 2nd. Super Lucy beat Miss Dogwood by 1 ½ lengths for a $28,300 purse on May 31. That was impressive.

She ran another solid race in her most recent attempt on July 2. Super Lucy placed 2nd behind Dixieland Dream by 3 ½ lengths for a $12,000 purse. What happened to her form?

I think she could be ripe for getting upset in this spot. Parker Madison could be the horse to do it. She has finished 2nd and 1st in her career, placing 2nd behind Sheisthehero by 3 lengths for a $16,500 purse.

Parker Madison came back on August 22 for a 3 ½ length win for a $16,500 win to show improvement. She’s in great form at the moment and should have a big chance of going in for back-to-back wins on Tuesday in a small upset.

The Bet

Race 8

(1) Dilemma
+500 (5/1)
(2) Trinni Cutie Pie
+450 (9/2)
(3) Egg Nog
+200 (2/1)
(4) Causeluck
+1000 (10/1)
(5) Posh Totty
+800 (8/1)
(6) Voodooism
+1200 (12/1)
(7) Honor The Tab
+1200 (12/1)
(8) Miss Utopia
+800 (8/1)
(9) Misterkaplan
+600 (6/1)

Post Time: 9:55 p.m. EST
Distance:5 ½ Furlongs

The final race at Mountaineer Park is a $7,700 assignment covering 5 ½ furlongs on the dirt. Trinni Cutie Pie and Egg Nog should have a good chance of securing a win in this spot. Trinni Cutie Pie is winless in 21 attempts, and has finished 3rd, 6th, 2nd in her previous three attempts.

In her most recent race, Trinnie Cutie Pie placed 2nd behind Cyber Affair by a nose for a $7,700 purse. She finished 6th on August 3 for a $10,300 purse. The class drop helped out nicely, but she should face slightly tougher competition in this one on Tuesday.

Egg Nog is winless in 11 attempts, but is dropping in class and should find this field beatable. She has finished 2nd, 4th, 4th in her most recent outings. Egg Nog finished 4th in back-to-back outings for a $12,100 and $16,800 purse. Down to $7,700 for the easiest assignment that Egg Nog has experienced in her career, expect this to be a big chance for No. 3.
