We have more horse racing picks on Monday after a profitable outing on Sunday to close out the weekend. Fair Grounds was a success with a Daily Double winner on Race 2 and Race 3. It has been a quiet week for stakes racing so far, but things are going to heat up next weekend. Saturday has a plethora of stakes races across the country. For instance, Fair Grounds has six, Gulfstream Park has four, Laurel Park has six, and Santa Anita Park is expecting to run five stakes races. There are three $200,000 races, two at Santa Anita Park and one at Fair Grounds to represent the biggest races on Saturday. Then the following week, it’s Pegasus Day at Gulfstream Park.
Parx Racing has a ten-race card worth $189,000 in Philadelphia on Sunday. If you are looking for more horse racing picks today, then check out what we have to offer at Delta Downs on Monday as well. Head below for our free Parx picks for January 11, 2021.

We will get started at Parx Racing with a $17,000 event in Race 1. This race covers a mile on the main track. Horse Be With You is making his debut on Monday and might be worth a look following a couple of promising workouts. There aren’t many runners that have looked better than Horse Be With You in workouts recently, and not many have had success with some races on their resume.
Horse Be With You completed 5 furlongs in 1:02.00 and 4 furlongs in 49.60 seconds. It doesn’t look like much, but in a race of this class against horses that haven’t had much success, Horse Be With You might be worth some consideration. Grey Giant should pose a pretty tall task for Horse Be With You, though.
Grey Giant is winless in two outings, but might have found an assignment to his liking on Monday. He showed 3rd in his debut on December 2 at Penn National for a $18,100 purse. Grey Giant followed up to finish 4th on December 20 for a $30,861 prize. This is the easiest assignment of his career. That should make a considerable difference on Monday afternoon.

Distance:1 Mile 70 Yards
In our next selection at Parx, we head to Race 3 for a mile and 70 yards of racing on the dirt. Worth His Salt and Shalako should run well here with a chance of winning. Worth His Salt gets the inside rail out of the gate and should be able to make it work despite running as an underdog. He is 9 for 48 in his career and in good form recently.
Worth His Salt placed 2nd behind Finglas in a $15,000 assignment on October 5. He was able to come back on November 17 to beat Wodbury by 2 ¼ lengths in a similar $15,000 assignment. This is much tougher, but Worth His Salt could get close with a similar performance. It’s not going to be easy, though he could be somewhere around the top-3 with a good run.
Shalako receives a transfer from Aqueduct Racetrack after competing against some tough runners. He raced at Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga throughout the duration of his 45-race career with some wins there. Shalako is 9 for 45 in his career, with the most recent win in his career at Saratoga on July 18. He defeated Musical Heart by a neck to secure the $49,000 win.
More recently, Shalako has finished 6th, 6th, 3rd in his previous three outings. He showed 3rd on November 28 before transferring to Parx. Same class, though there were some tougher horses in that race. Against this field, expect Shalako to run well with a good chance of winning.

Race 9 is a 6-furlong event for a $22,000 purse on the dirt. This is the co-feature event of the afternoon at Parx. Manolete and Factor This In have to be held in high esteem in the race. Manolete is looking for a hat-trick on November 18 and December 21. In the first win, Manolete beat Victory Element by 3 ¾ lengths on November 18 in a $16,000 assignment, and then followed up for another win on December 21 in a $22,000 event over Factor This In by ¾ lengths. Manolete was the underdog, while Factor This In was the favorite in that race. Overall, Manolete has gone 14 for 46 in his career and could add another win to this resume today.
Factor This In has been a model of consistency over the last several months. Since September, Factor This In has finished in the top-2 in six straight outings, including two wins. He most recently won two races ago on December 1 over Tactical Pursuit by 1 ½ lengths in a $22,000 event. Factor This In came close in his last race, but was edged out at the wire by Manolete. Despite Factor This In losing his status as the betting favorite on the morning-line, I wouldn’t be so quick to discount him. I’m going to back Factor This In to score the win in Race 9.
