There aren’t many race tracks going on Monday, but still enough races to handicap. The Breeders’ Cup is approaching on November 5 and November 6. The Breeders’ Cup Classic is November 6 at Del Mar in California. That’s one of the most highly anticipated races of the year and comes with the biggest purse in the US at $6,000,000.
You are going to find five five racecourses operating on Monday in North America. Fort Erie in Canada has ten races this afternoon, while the US has four racecourses to choose from at BetOnline. There are other available options at other racebooks if you look, but you aren’t going to get a fantastic 9% cashback.
Philadelphia has racing with 11 races at Parx this afternoon. There’s $291,500 in prize money available. Check out our Finger Lakes Racetrack for more horse racing selections. Head below for our free Parx Racing picks for October 25, 2021.
Race 2
Post Time: 1:22 p.m. EST
Distance:1 Mile 70 Yards
Purse:$21,000
In the second race at Parx, we have a mile and 70 yards for a $21,000 purse. Connoisseur and Holiday Raid should go well in this event. Connoisseur is 2 for 14 in her career, and has finished 1st, 6th, 3rd in her previous three outings.
Connoisseur defeated Happycrest by ¾ lengths on August 30 in a $20,000 race, but then dropped off to 6th on September 15 and showed 3rd on October 5th.
She finished 6th in a $22,000 assignment, and then 3rd on October 5 for a $21,000 purse. This field isn’t the toughest, so I could see Connoisseur running well.
Holiday Raid is looking for a hat-trick following a win on September 21 and October 12. She beat Sky Queen by 6 ¼ lengths in a $19,000 event, and then another win a few weeks later.
Holiday Raid defeats Angelsfour Michele, drawing off by 2 ¼ lengths for a $30,000 purse, and goes into Monday in good form. The value looks good with No. 1.
Race 3
Post Time: 1:49 p.m. EST
Distance:7 Furlongs
Purse:$19,500
The third race at Parx is a $19,500 event covering 7 furlongs. Nico Bree N Teej is 7 for 44 in his career, and has finished 1st, 1st, 7th, 1st in four races.
In his last attempt, Nico Bree N Teej beat D T Goodie by ¾ lengths for a $21,000 prize. This was after going 7th on September 6 in a $38,000 event. That was too tough, but $21,000 was doable.
This event should be beatable for Nico Bree N Teej as well. Expect Dr. Devera’s Way to go far in this one and give Nico Bree N Teej big pressure.
Dr. Devera’s Way has finished 1st, 6th, 1st, 1st in his previous four races, and looks to be in the mood for a hat-trick. He beat Cobble Hill by 3 ¾ lengths for a $22,000 purse, and then followed up most recently on July 26.
Dr. Devera’s Way made it look easy over Big City Ralph by 3 ¾ lengths for a $24,000 score. Back after a brief layoff, look for Dr. Devera’s Way to put in good work on Monday afternoon.
Race 7
Post Time: 3:37 p.m. EST
Distance:6 Furlongs
Purse:$29,000
Race 7 is a $29,000 event covering 6 furlongs on the dirt. Ruby Bleu and Naughty Prince should have a chance at going in Monday.
Ruby Bleu is 15 for 74 in his career, with a winning performance on September 28. That was a good attempt for Ruby Bleu, as he defeated Honorable Service by a neck for a $26,000 prize.
This was after finishing 4th in three straight appearances. He needed to fight hard for that win, so a $29,000 race could give him some problems.
Naughty Prince is 4 for 20 in his career, and has finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd in four outings. He placed 2nd in back-to-back attempts on July 21 and August 24, then 3rd in his most recent outings.
Naughty Prince most recently showed 3rd in a $60,000 event on October 12. Given how tough that race was, and most of the races in his career recently, Naughty Prince should be able to handle a $29,000 event in this one.
