Today is Breeders’ Cup Classic day at Keeneland in Lexington. We have you covered with all of the action, with a selection for the Classic and two other stakes races at Keeneland today. All eyes will be fixated in Lexington later today, but there’s other horse racing action across the country on Saturday as well. Keeneland isn’t the only place where you can play the ponies. We’re going to look to the south at Remington Park for our other card at TheSportsGeek. Remington Park is located in Oklahoma City.
For Saturday, Remington Park has nine races on the schedule worth a total of $165,510. It’s a lot less than what you’re going to see at Keeneland today. There is a whopping total of $21,400,000 in prize money available in 12 races at Keeneland. The biggest of which is the $6,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Classic. There are some names you probably know in that event. If you’re looking for more horse racing picks after the big race, we have you covered at Remington Park on Saturday night. Head below for our free Remington Park picks for November 7, 2020.

Race 4 is worth $13,000 at Remington Park, which features 6 furlongs on the main track. Diamond Lily and Go Figure should have a strong case in the stretch for this event. Diamond Lily has shown great improvement after debuting on September 8 at Louisiana Downs. She finished 5th in that $19,500 race, and then 3rd on October 2, and most recently placed 2nd on October 21 in a $16,000 event. Diamond Lily finished 2 ½ lengths behind Kehei Kat. That was a solid run, and Diamond Lily slides down in class to a more manageable level tonight as well.
There’s no question that Diamond Lily should be able to handle a race of this caliber. There is nothing to report on the workout circuit for Diamond Lily since placing 2nd. Prior to that race, she completed a 5 furlong with a time of 50.35 seconds. Go Figure placed 2nd in her most recent outing as well, but has been doing it over the course of her last three starts. Overall, Go Figure is 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd in her career. She’s been knocking on the door and just coming up short recently.
On September 10, Go Figure came just short in a $16,000 assignment to finish a head behind Shezauno. Go Figure ran a strong race, but just couldn’t finish the deal. She was overtaken at the top of the stretch and dueled down the stretch. Shezauno had the edge at the wire in that one. Go Figure followed up on October 2 to place 2nd behind Into the Fire by 3 ½ lengths in a $16,000 event. She was the favorite, but couldn’t finish the deal. I’m confident in Go Figure getting it done on Saturday at Remington Park, though.

Distance:5 ½ Furlongs
Race 7 is our second and final selection at Remington Park on Saturday night. Metallic Silver and Miss Notorious should have involvement in the stretch in this 5 ½ furlong contest. Metallic Silver is 1 for 7 in her career, having failed to win since 2018. Since that win on June 30, 2018, Metallic Silver has gone 8th, 6th, 7th, 2nd, 2nd. She has been in better form of late and has placed 2nd in back-to-back performances.
Metallic Silver placed 2nd on July 26 in a $15,930 assignment behind Unapologetically by ¾ lengths. That was close for Metallic Silver, and she came close once again in her next performance on October 14. Metallic Silver lost by 4 ¾ lengths behind Princess Phone. She is moving down in class under the $10,000 mark, and you have to assume that Metallic Silver will have a chance at getting to the winner’s circle.
Miss Notorious has gone 5th, 5th, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 1st in her career. After coming really close in three straight races, Miss Notorious was finally able to break through for a win on October 8 for a $13,000 purse over Wicked Flashback by a half length. Miss Notorious was the favorite in that $13,000 race and expected to win. She was a $95,000 purchase, and should be winning in that class. Despite that, Miss Notorious moves down to a $8,800 race on Saturday night. I will give the edge to Miss Notorious in Race 7.
