Turf Paradise Picks for April 5, 2022 – Horse Racing Betting Tips

There is action on the racetrack Tuesday throughout the country. It isn’t the biggest day for horse racing, but that’s to be expected for an early midweek card. If you are looking for when the bigger action turns up, wait for the weekend.

The final 100-40-20-10 point day on the Road to the Kentucky Derby is expected to be completed with three more events. The Wood Memorial, Blue Grass, and Santa Anita Derby are scheduled for this Saturday.

TheSportsGeek will have coverage for two of those races after some homework gets completed. For Tuesday, we’re looking at Will Rogers Downs and Turf Paradise. Turf Paradise has nine races worth $137,336 in prize money.

Jz My Eagles Alibi made her debut on March 16 and held up well. The filly showed 3rd in an $18,000 assignment on March 16 in a promising appearance.

That was a promising start, with more likely to come for Jz My Eagles Alibi. She will be tested by Wish You Were Queen.

Wish You Were Queen was impressive in her debut on March 16 at Turf Paradise. She placed 2nd with a time of 12.318 seconds

Wish You Were Queen had a half-length advantage over Jz My Eagles Alibi in that one. In confident form going into Tuesday, she rates as a threat to win.

Distance: 1 Mile
Purse:$10,612

In Race 4, we have a mile of racing for a $10,612 purse in the first thoroughbred race on Tuesday afternoon. Look for Approved and Price to Pay to show up with a big performance.

Approved is 4 for 16 and finished 5th, 7th, 5th in his previous three outings. He’s gone winless since winning on May 30 in a $14,500 event.

In his latest race, Approved finished 5th for a $14,140 prize on March 1. A drop in grade to $10,612 should serve Approved well.

Northern Quest is 4 for 27 and he is coming off good work on January 26. The gelding most recently placed 2nd behind Marque It Up by a head for an $11,480 prize.

That was a nice effort from Northern Quest who should do one better on Tuesday. Down to $10,612 versus this competition, Northern Quest looks like good value from the outside.
