The Royals are looking for positives here and there this season. One of those is lefty Daniel Lynch. They want him to be a big part of their future in Kansas City.
He got his feet wet, with an ERA of 3.92 and a 1.41 WHIP across 39 innings. Lynch is going into Progressive Field with a 3.55 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in his previous three starts. He was on fire three starts ago, having allowed no runs in 5.1 innings against the Rockies.
That was the most impressive start of Lynch’s career, this coming at Coors Field. Since then, Lynch has allowed 6 earned runs across 9 innings of work.
Cleveland had success against Lynch in previous matchups. They are hitting .344 with an OBP of .438. The Guardians tagged Lynch for 5 RBIs in 29 at-bats.
