MLB Predictions July 27th – Braves Nats, Marlins Giants, Reds Brewers

Last night we went 1 for 2 last night, with our Red Sox @ Angels play being canceled due to a pitching change by the Angels.  That brings us to 7 for 10 in our MLB predictions over the last few days – a nice little run.  Look to continue profiting on my MLB betting with a few solid plays tonight in the Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals, Florida Marlins @ San Fran Giants and Cincinnati Reds @ Milwaukee Brewers games.  The Tuesday July 27th Free MLB Predictions are posted below, good luck!

MLB Predictions for July 27th:

Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals – These two teams are coming off of an off day on Monday and are both sending two great pitchers to the mound for what should be a very exciting game.  The Atlanta Braves go with Tommy Hanson tonight who is 8-6 on the season with a 4.12 ERA. m The Braves are an impressive 13-7 when Hanson starts the game.  Washington send their rookie sensation Stephen Strasburg to the mound tonight.  Strasburg is a very solid 5-2 on the season so far with a 2.32 ERA and an impressive WHIP of 1.07.  In his last three starts Strasburg is a perfect 3-0 with a 2.04 ERA.  The over is 6-1 in Hansons last 7 road starts and the over is 5-0 in the Braves last 5 games.  The over is also 7-1 in the Nationals last 8 home games.  Although both teams have solid pitchers starting I like the game to go over the low total tonight.  PREDICTION – OVER 6.5 RUNS (-107)

Florida Marlins @ San Francisco Giants – Florida took game one of this series on Monday by a score of 4-3.  The Marlins go with their ace tonight in Josh Johnson who has a spectacular 10-3 record on the season with a 1.61 ERA and a WHIP under 1.00.  San Francisco will be starting righty Matt Cain who is 8-8 on the season with a 3.10 ERA.  The Giants play the Marlins tough as they have won 5 of the last 7 meetings and are 5-1 in Cains last 6 starts vs Florida. The Marlins are also 0-4 in Johnson’s last 4 starts vs the Giants.  Josh Johnson should keep the Marlins close, but I like the Giants as a home underdog here tonight.  PREDICTION – GIANTS TO WIN (+105)

Cincinnati Reds @ Milwaukee Brewers – Milwaukee took Monday night’s game 3-2 and look for another win tonight as they try and get back into the Wild Card race (currently 8.5 games back).  The Brewers have Yovani Gallardo on the mound tonight who has had a great 2010 season.  Gallardo is 9-4 on the year and has an impressive ERA of just 2.45 through his 19 starts.  Edinson Volquez will get his third big league start of the season for the Reds.  Volquez has had some early struggles with his 7.56 ERA through 8.1 innings of work during his first two appearances.  The Brewers are 4-1 in Gallardos last 5 home starts and are 7-0 in their last seven home games overall.  The pitching match up leans heavily towards the Brewers – look for them to continue to roll at home.  PREDICTION – BREWERS TO WIN (-150)
