MLB Predictions July 28th – Mariners White Sox, Marlins Giants, As Rangers

We had another profitable night last night (although only a small profit) going 1 for 2 with San Francisco cashing as a home underdog.  Our Braves/Nationals play was canceled as Nats listed starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg was scratched just 10 or 15 minutes before game time.  MLB betting has been profitable for me all season and I look to continue my winning ways tonight.  Below you will find four betting predictions for tonight’s (Wednesday July 28th) MLB games, good luck!

MLB Predictions for July 28th:

Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals – Washington took game one of this series 3-0 last night with Miguel Batista getting the win.  Today the Braves have Tim Hudson starting who has been pitching great this season.  Hudson is 10-5 on the season with a 2.47 ERA and a very respectable WHIP of just 1.13.  The Nationals go with Livan Hernandez to counter, who has a 7-6 record on the season and a 3.12 ERA.  The game has gone under the posted total in 16 of Hernandez’s 19 starts on the year.  The under is also 6-2 in Hudsons last 8 starts overall.  Look for the pitchers to keep the hitters in check today in a low scoring ball game.  PREDICTION – UNDER 7.5 RUNS (-110)

Florida Marlins @ San Francisco Giants – Last night we played the Giants as an underdog against Cy Young candidate Josh Johnson and won the play as the Giants came out with the 6-4 victory.  Tonight the Marlins have Alejandro Sanabia on the mound.  Sanabia is 1-0 in his three starts on the season, with two no decisions (the Giants are 3-0 with him starting the game).  Sanabia also has an ERA of just 0.69 in those three starts for the Marlins.  Giants have lefty Jonathan Sanchez on the mound tonight who is 7-6 on the year with a 3.35 ERA.  The under is 5-2-1 in the Giants last 8 games as a home favorite.  PREDICTION – UNDER 8 RUNS (-110)

Oakland Athletics @ Texas Rangers – The Rangers took the first game of the series 3-1 last night with ace Cliff Lee putting on a great performance on the mound.  The Rangers go with Colby Lewis tonight who is 9-6 on the season with a 3.52 ERA.  Oakland will send Trevor Cahill to the mound who is 9-4 on the year with a 3.15 ERA.  The A’s are playing good ball lately as they are 9-3 in their last 12 games overall.  The Athletics are also 6-0 in Cahills last 6 road starts and 4-0 in his last 4 starts as a road underdog.  With the odds given on the A’s I like them as a decent sized underdog tonight.  PREDICTIONS – A’s TO WIN (+142)

Seattle Mariners @ Chicago White Sox – The red hot AL Central leading Chicago White Sox continue to roll as they pick up 11-0 and 6-1 wins over Seattle in the first two games of this series.  The good news for Seattle is that they send left Jason Vargas to the mound who is supporting a 6-5 record and 2.94 ERA on the season.  Vargas also has an impressive 1.66 ERA in his last three starts.  The White Sox send a lefty of their own to the mound in Mark Buehrle.  Buehrle has a 9-8 record this year with a 3.96 ERA, but has been dominant in his last three starts going 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA.  The under is 7-0 in Vargas’ last 7 starts overall and is 5-1 in Buehrle’s last 6 starts overall. PREDICTION – UNDER  7.5 RUNS (+100)
