The MLB is set up with another great slate of baseball throughout Monday night. Nine games are up on the board throughout June 27. One of these games will be between the Baltimore Orioles and the Seattle Mariners. These two teams have struggled on the season, but will look for a big win in this one. This game will throw the first pitch at around 10:10 PM Eastern on MLB Network.
Baltimore has earned a record of 34-40 throughout this season, which has them sitting in fifth place of the AL East. The Orioles are coming off a loss, but have gone 7-3 throughout their last 10 games. Baltimore is seven games back on a wild card spot entering this one. The Orioles will look to remain hot with a big win on the road in this one.
The Mariners have put up a record of 34-40 so far on the season, which has them in fourth place of the AL West. Seattle lost their last time out, which ended a five game winning streak. The Mariners are seven games back on a wild card spot as well. Seattle will look to step up early as they look for a home win on Monday night.
These two teams have been struggling a bit on the season, but are still very much in reach for a playoff spot. The Orioles have been the better team as of late and will look to keep it going. Seattle will look to bounce back after a loss in their last game. If either team can come out fast in this one, it could be enough for the win.

These two teams have met up three times on the season in Baltimore. Taylor Trammell had four RBI’s in the first meeting, while George Kirby pitched six shutout innings as Seattle won 10-0. Rougned Odor had three RBI’s in the second game as the Orioles won 9-2. Luis Torrens had two RBI’s in the third matchup to help give the Mariners a 7-6 win in extra innings.

The Orioles have struggled a bit at the plate throughout this season. Baltimore has a .230 batting average, which is 26th in the league. The Orioles have earned a .298 OBP, which is 28th in the MLB. Baltimore has posted an OPS of .677, which is 24th in the league. The Orioles have hit .228 against right handers.
Seattle has been a bit better hitting the ball on the season. The Mariners have a batting average of .234, which is 25th in the MLB. Seattle has put up an on base percentage of .320, which is 10th in the league. The Mariners have earned a .701 OPS, which is 17th in the MLB. Seattle has a BA of .239 against righties this season.
The Mariners have been a bit stronger at the plate throughout this season and will look to keep it going. Seattle has had their bats going strong in the last few games and will look to keep it up. The Orioles have also been solid hitting the ball as of late and will look for another fast start. If either team can rack up the early hits, it could lead them to the win.
I expect Tyler Wells to get the start on the mound for Baltimore in this one. Wells has earned a record of 5-4 throughout his 14 starts on the season. He has posted an ERA of 3.34 and a 1.098 WHIP in those starts. Wells pitched five innings in his last start against the Washington Nationals. He gave up three hits and no runs in the win.
George Kirby will likely get the nod at pitcher for the Mariners on Monday night. Kirby has started in 9 games this season, going 2-2 in those outings. He has put up a 3.12 ERA and a WHIP of 1.122 in his matchups. Kirby’s last start was against the Oakland Athletics. He gave up five hits and no runs through six innings en route to the win.
These two pitchers have been strong on the season. Wells has won his last three starts and four of his last five entering this one. Kirby is coming off a win as well. The Orioles have the edge in their bullpen. Baltimore’s relievers have a combined ERA of 3.06, which is 4th in the MLB. Seattle’s bullpen has a 3.88 ERA, which is 16th in the league.
The Mariners are coming off a loss, but have won five of their last six. Baltimore lost last time out as well, which ended a four game winning streak. Both teams will look to get back on track early in this one. Seattle has the better hitting lineup, which I think will give them the edge in this one. If the Mariners can get the early lead, I like their chances to earn the win.
Bovada has Seattle listed as a -150 against the money line in this one. This implies that the Mariners will win this game around 60 percent of the time. I agree with this line as Seattle is at home. The Mariners will look to chase Wells early in this one as he has been strong as of late. As slight favorites, I like the value on Seattle to earn the win.
