The Philadelphia Phillies are in Denver for a three-game tilt at Coors Field. The Phillies are coming off a rough outing in Miami yesterday afternoon.

They were blasted in the series finale against the Marlins for a 10-3 loss. Philadelphia lost three of four games in a discouraging effort.
Wheeler was tagged for 8 hits and 7 earned runs through 3 innings of work. He also conceded 3 walks while on the bump. Conversely, Elieser Hernandez lasted 6 innings with 1 earned run allowed.
The Phillies are off to a 4-6 start this season. They signed Bryce Harper to a mega-deal, but aren’t getting much for their ROI.
Since then, the Washington Nationals have won a World Series, and the Phillies are trying to figure it out. They are in Denver for a meeting with the Colorado Rockies.
The Rockies are 6-3 and coming off a split against the Cubs at home. After back-to-back wins on Friday, 6-5, and Saturday, 9-6, the Rockies came up short in a 6-4 loss on Sunday.
All things considered, the Rockies have had an acceptable start to this season. They opened well at home against the LA Dodgers with two wins in three games and followed up with a two-game sweep of the Texas Rangers.

Phillies vs. Rockies Prediction:
The Phillies’ pitching staff has been in tough shape to open the season. They’ve been hammered for a 5.07 and 6.82 ERA on the road this season.
The Phillies will settle down, but don’t expect elite production in Philadelphia. If Zack Wheeler were not able to settle down that would be a huge blow to the Phillies, though.
Nola has appeared in two games and didn’t look great in either performance. The veteran has conceded 7 hits and 7 earned runs through 9.1 innings of work.
He is going into Coors Field with an ERA of 6.75, and his biggest concern is a major worry in Denver. Nola has been unable to keep the ball down, with 3 home runs allowed in 10 innings.
That’s not exactly what the Phillies need at Coors Field, a place that doesn’t take much for a ball to carry out of the park. The wind is expected to blow out to left field as well.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Colorado Rockies Betting Trends:

- OVER is 6-0-1 in their previous seven games as a betting favorite
- OVER is 3-0-1 in their previous four games on the road
- OVER is 5-0-1 in their previous six games with the total at 11 or more
Rockies
- Record (Last 10): 6-3
- 4-0 overall in their previous four games as an underdog
- 7-2 in their previous nine games versus the NL East
- 1-4 overall in their previous five games
- OVER is 5-2-1 in their previous eight games versus a right-handed starter
- OVER is 3-0-1 in their previous four games
The Rockies have bruised Nola in past games. They are hitting .374 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs going into tonight. I’m not expecting Nola to get out of this one with solid numbers.
He needs a good game after struggling in his first two starts, but this doesn’t look like it’s going to be it for him. Fortunately, Nola should receive from support from the offense.
Chad Kuhl had a solid debut in his first start with the Rockies, but I’m not sold on him doing the same in his debut at Coors Field. The former Pirate has a 4.42 ERA and 1.42 WHIP across five seasons in Pittsburgh.
Kuhl posted an ERA of 4.82 in his final season in Pittsburgh last season. He was sharp at Arlington versus the Rangers, but I could see him finding his first appearance at Coors Field tough.
I’m looking at a high-scoring Coors Field game in Denver tonight. The bats for Phillies and Rockies should both come to play on Easter Monday.
