Top Betting pick for Titan FC 77 Main Event
Luis Pena is a former UFC athlete fresh out of his contract after defeating over half of his UFC opponent’s. His lanky frame at lightweight makes his stirling difficult to deal with. His opponent takes fights with anyone and everyone, and has grown accustomed to very low level competition and hasn’t beaten a fighter with a winning record since 2017 (the 2-0 Alessandro Taiete.)
Tale of the Tape for Pena vs Wurlitzer

Submissions/TKO | 5/2 | 15/6 |
Fighter Training Camp | American Top Team, Formerly AKA | My King Immortal |
Pena is the younger, taller fighter with advantages in reach and finishing percentage. Wurlitzer looks dangerous on paper until you realize that many of the opponent’s he has finished have no wins on record, ever.
It’s not just that many of these fighters have losing records, it’s that they’re simply not competitive.
Luis Pena vs Wurlitzer Training Camp
Luis trains at American Top Team alongside many UFC champions and other current best in sport athletes. He moved there from AKA, one of the top wrestling MMA gyms in the nation training under Daniel Cormier and Khabib.
Wurlizter trains at a small Brazilian academy with dozens of local level fighters, and from his media presence he appears to be one of the instructors. We believe he’s a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or at least claims to be.
Luis Pena’s Finishing Percentage
Pena finished in round 1 of his only Titan FC match to date. He has multiple striking victories, which is what he’ll need to do against Gustavo, including the 2019 knockout of Matt Wiman. Pena prefers submission work, and his counter submission game should do well against Wurlitzer’s grappling, which is fine on the ground but poor in wrestling and standing clinches. A Pena Titan FC prediction is safe to add to any parlay ticket, and Pena’s odds should be much higher in my opinion, as he’s never lost to a fighter that wasn’t top tier in MMA.

Luis had good striking defense at 51% defensive accuracy for his UFC run. He has intense top pressure because of his length, and the ability to put on submissions from anywhere.

Pena’s Criminal Charges
Pena wasn’t released from the promotion because he was a bad fighter, but because of his November 2021 criminal charges. The fact is, he’s a world class athlete who’s forced to take what he can get because of decisions made outside the ring. This fighter should walk right through Gustavo.
