NASCAR Xfinity Series Picks: EchoPark 250 From Atlanta

NASCAR is just around the corner from returning to a normal schedule.

Nobody really knows when fans will be allowed to attend the races but let’s hope we can get em in there before the end of the year.

We weren’t able to come away from the Xfinity Bristol race, the Cheddar’s 300.

One of our guys got wrecked in the first 5 minutes and Harrison Burton hung on for a while but the more experienced drivers were just a little bit better of the final 50 laps.

Our matchup bet we lost by one position. Gotta love that. It was a plus money pick, though, so in the long run, I guess that’s not a terrible bet.

This week will be quite different. We are moving on from Thunder Valley’s high banking and rhythm riding half-mile course. Atlanta Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile track. Similar venues include Charlotte, Las Vegas, and Kansas.

In this year’s Xfinity Series, the usual suspects are going to be the usual suspects.

Xfinity lost a lot of talent to the Cup Series this year including back-to-back season winner Tyler Reddick and Christopher Bell.

Justin Allgaier is the elder statesman who has pretty much accepted that this is his spot and he may never make it to full-time Cup Series action. From what I understand, he is still making good money at this level.

What can he do for us, though? He hasn’t been winning that much lately but almost always seems to have a high finish so a matchup bet on the 2018 Xfinity Series Champion.

The online sportsbook BetOnline.AG has some nice odds for us today. They have really came through in a big way since the lockdown adding driver matchups and top 3 betting for both the Xfinity Series and the Cup Series as well.

Let’s get to our picks for the EchoPark 250 from Atlanta.

Betting Odds to Win EchoPark 250

Chase Briscoe +250
Justin Allgair +450
Noah Gragson +600
Austin Cindric +700
Ross Chastain +700
Brandon Jones +750
Harrison Burton +800
Daniel Hemric +1200

Let’s start from the top and work our way down the betting board to try to find some NASCAR betting winners for the Xfinity Series EchoPark 250.

Chase Briscoe is the points leader so far this season but finishes of 19th and 20th on intermediate tracks point towards a pass here, especially with those low paying betting odds.

Justin Allgaier is a good driver and one of the only ones with much experience driving in Atlanta.

He raced well at Charlotte and Darlington since the return this year but Atlanta is going to be more about speed than specific track technique. He has 2 top-five finishes in 8 starts here in his career.

I like Justin but not at those betting odds.

We will see a first-time winner this weekend because we lost so many good ones to Cup Series this year. Kyle Busch is running the truck race instead of Xfinity this week so Justin will be the senior guy. I like youth this week, though.

Does the last name Burton sound familiar to you? In NASCAR terms… No, well his dad Jeff Burton and uncle Ward Burton were both NASCAR drivers and now Ward’s son, Jeb, is an active driver as well.

Harrison is not even 20 years old yet. I suppose it was a bit foolish picking him at Bristol. He had all top ten finishes in every race to that point but it’s a difficult track and normally requires a learning curve. I like him this week, though, a lot.

Daniel Hemric is an interesting play here. The Kannapolis, NC native didn’t run any Xfinity Series races last season. He spent the year in the big leagues driving for the Cup Series.

Daniel did struggle but he gave it a go. Now, he is back down in the minors but having one of the best starts to the season of his career.

4 top seven finishes in 6 starts this year is pretty impressive. Looking at his preferred track type over his career and it looks like he runs the intermediate tracks pretty well.

Let’s throw him and Harrison Burton into our small winning betting spread for the Xfinity Series EchoPark 250.

My Picks

In Conclusion

It’s that time again. Let’s go racing! NASCAR’s Xfinity Series is back on its normal schedule this week.

Well, they are a little behind from racing on Monday but it’s nothing like the 2-3 day turnarounds NASCAR has had to pull off this past couple of weeks. I think they did a great job, though!

I hope the sport is getting some more fans with the increase in exposure.

Betting on this is not easy and you have to be prepared to go weeks without a win. When you start to go months without a victory, that’s when it’s time to start worrying.

We are yet to hit the Xfinity Series correct but we do have 3 Cup Series wins under our seat belt for 2020.

Get those bets in now and if you have time this Saturday afternoon, check out the Xfinity Series EchoPark 250 from Atlanta.
