On Saturday, September 18th, NASCAR’s Cup Series goes under the lights for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race from Bristol Motor Speedway.
This is the third and final race for the opening round of the Playoffs and Kevin Harvick still has some work to do in order to advance to the next round.
However, his heavy lifting over the first two Playoff races has set up Harvick with a good shot at advancing.
Harvick entered the Playoffs as the 16th and final driver in the standings clinching a spot in the second to final race of the regular season.
Yet, once the green flag dropped on the postseason, Harvick has turned up the heat with two Top 10 results. He finished 5th at Darlington and 8th at Richmond over the last two weeks and now sits 6th in the standings.
Can Harvick secure another Top 10 finish and advance to the Round of 12 in the Playoffs?

Kevin Harvick Betting Odds
- To Win (+1000)
- Top 3 (+370)
- Top 5 (+150)
- Top 10 (-200)
According to NASCAR betting sites, Kevin Harvick falls just outside of the Top 5 betting favorites for Saturday’s night race at Bristol.
However, that’s good news for those of us that want to bet on Harvick because his odds are more appealing.
Harvick’s race winning odds, Top 3, and Top 5 wagers all offer positive returns on investment. His Top 5 odds are particularly appealing considering his past success at this track.
Yet, we’re going with Harvick’s Top 10 wager despite the lack of value because it’s the safe play for the #4 car at this track.
Harvick’s Experience at Bristol
Kevin Harvick is tied with Kurt Busch for the most starts at this track among active drivers with 40.
For his career, Harvick has three wins, 13 Top 5s, 20 Top 10s, and a 13.5 average finish at Bristol Motor Speedway.
He’s tied with Keselowski for the third-most wins at this track, is second in Top 5s behind Kyle Busch, and is second in Top 10s behind Kurt Busch. His 13.5 average finish is 4th best among the field.
More recently, Harvick has also performed well at this track. In the last 11 Bristol races, Harvick has two wins, four Top 5s, and eight Top 10s.
Both of those wins have come in the Bristol night race including taking the checkered flag last year.
Take Harvick to Finish in the Top 10
Harvick comes into this weekend’s race with a 50% Top 10 finishing rate at Bristol. Furthermore, he’s the defending winner of this event and also has a 13.5 career average finish.
I believe Harvick is going to keep up his momentum from the first two Playoff races where he has a 6.5 average finish. Take Kevin to finish inside the Top 10 by time the checkered flag ends this race.
