Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat NBA Pick – Game 2

The NBA is set up with another strong slate of basketball action on Thursday night. The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat will meet in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 19. These two teams have been strong on the postseason and will look for a big win in this one. This game will tip off at around 8:30 PM Eastern time on ESPN.

Boston has earned a record of 8-4 throughout the playoffs as the second seed in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics have knocked off the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks to reach the Conference Finals. Boston will look to step up early in this one after losing Game 1. I expect the Celtics to try and set the tone early.

The Heat have put up a record of 9-3 so far these playoffs as the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Miami has eliminated the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers to reach the Conference Finals. The Heat came out strong in Game 1 earning a big win. Miami will look to stretch their lead to 2-0 before heading back on the road.

These two teams have been solid throughout this postseason and will look for a big win in Game 2. Miami was able to earn a big win to open up the series, but the Celtics will look to bounce back in this one. Boston will look to tie the series before it shifts back to their home. If either team can come out fast in this one, it could be enough for the win.

Pick Overview

These two teams will look for a big win as they meet up in Game 2 of this series. The Heat were able to ride a strong third period to a win in Game 1 and will look to keep that momentum going in this one. Boston has been great all postseason when falling down a game in a series though. If the Celtics can come out fast in this one, I think they can tie this series up.

Bovada has Miami listed as a -5 against the spread in this one. This gives a solid edge to the Heat at home on Thursday night. I think that this line should be closer to even with both teams playing well in the playoffs. Boston will look for a much more complete game in Game 2. As underdogs, I like the value on the Celtics with the points.
