PG: Jeff Teague: (7,000) Teague has stepped up as The Pacers fight for playoff seeding and has now topped 40 DK points in three straight games. The main reason his numbers have been up is because he is playing higher minutes than usual, averaging 35 minutes over these last three games, which is a slight bump from the 32.3 minutes a night he was playing before this stretch. He is in a great spot tonight to continue this run vs The Sixers who have allowed the 5th most DK points to PGs this season.
Teague is very fond of this matchup, averaging a great 38.4 DK points in the two games The Pacers have faced The Sixers this season. If this game stays close enough (Pacers -8.5), Teague should play around 35 minutes again and score 35-40 DK points tonight. He is a nice bargain at $7,000 and is one of the best overall values of this slate, that I will be pursuing in all formats on Sunday night.
SG/SF: Tony Allen: (3,800) Even though he was questionable to play Thursday with a sore knee, Allen showed no signs of an injury, putting up 22 DK points vs The Spurs. His minutes have been very stable lately with him averaging 28.4 minutes a game over his last five, which has obviously been a boost for Allen, with him averaging 21.9 DK points a game during this span. The 35 year old is no offensive threat, but The Grizzlies need him right now, with SF Chandler Parsons out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus.
Tonight, he is going against a Warriors defense (2nd most DK points to SFs) that he has played very well against this year, averaging a high 34.3 DK points in their first three matchups this season. There will always be a blow out risk with any team taking on The Warriors at home in The Oracle (Warriors -10.5), but this slow paced Grizzlies team in many ways has been The Warriors kryptonite this season, leading the season series 2-1. Allen should play 25-30 minutes tonight and meet at least five times value at his cheap $3,800 salary.
PF/C: Kelly Olynyk: (4,200) Olynyk is a very hard man to trust, but he has been solid as of late, averaging 24.9 DK points in his last three games. Tonight, he gets a very nice matchup vs The Heat, who have a current opponent +/- of 2.41 points. Assuming he can stay out of foul trouble, he should play 20+ minutes, and score 20-25 DK points with solid upside against this defense. This game will be played at home in Boston, where Olynyk has been better the past two months, averaging 21.5 DK points over his last ten home games.
Also The Celtics are expected to be without starting SG Avery Bradley, who was still in the hospital yesterday with an illness, which would be a slight bump for Olynyk, who has seen a 1.1 DK point increase in the minutes Bradley has been off the floor this season. I wouldn’t call him a cash game play, but with his low expected ownership of 0-1% (via Fantasy Labs), he is one of my favorite GPP targets of this five game slate.
PF/C: Noah Vonleh: (4,100) Vonleh was a disappointment last night only producing 8.25 DK points vs The Wolves, but before this he had scored 20+ DK points in five straight games. He has been seeing more playing time with The Blazers using a tighter rotation, averaging 27.5 minutes a game over his last six. He couldn’t be in a much better spot to bounce back tonight taking on a dreadful Lakers defense that has given up the most DK points to opposing PFs this season, with a current opponent +/- of 2.35 points.
With his starting role, he should log 25-30 minutes tonight, and put up 20-25 DK points vs this Lakers defense. He isn’t a very exciting play, but with lack of compelling cheap values tonight, he Is a viable option in both cash games and GPPs, that gives you a piece of this Blazer team that has an implied team total of 113.25 points.
Also Consider: Gary Harris, Jae Crowder, Richaun Holmes, Shawn Long, Jaylen Brown (solid value play if starting with Bradley out), Marcus Smart (if Bradley is out), Larry Nance Jr., Tim Frazier, Allen Crabbe, and Zach Randolph.
