SG/SF: Dion Waiters: (4,400) Waiters started at SF Tuesday night vs The Warriors with Josh Richardson out (foot) and had his best game in a while scoring 27.25 DK points. He has been limited the past few weeks after just returning from a groin injury, but had no restrictions on Tuesday when he played a high 38 minutes with the starting role. He should remain in the starting five tonight with Richardson already ruled out for this matchup vs The Bucks. This season, when Richardson and Justice Winslow (shoulder) have been off the court, Waiters has posted a high 25.9% usage rate with a solid 22% assist percentage.
Being completely healthy and clearly having no minute restrictions, he should see 30-35 minutes tonight in this perfect matchup vs The Bucks who give up the 2nd most DK points to opposing SFs this year. Waiters has already lit this defense up once this season, scoring 37.8 DK points in 35 minutes back in November. I am not expecting this kind of production as he still works off some rust, but he should have no problem topping 20 DK points tonight going against this Bucks defense.
SG: Sean Kilpatrick: (4,400) After struggling last week Kilpatrick finally broke out last night, scoring 18 points, seven rebounds, an assist, and a steal last night vs The Pelicans. (29.75 DK points) His minutes were cut back recently, but he is now starting to get back in the rotation, averaging 25.6 minutes over his last three games. After being priced as high as $5,900 just a few weeks ago, his price dropped all the way down to a very affordable $4,400. He may not start, but he is still this teams primary ball handler with Jeremy Lin out (hamstring), seeing a 26.3% usage rate in these last three games, which is the second highest on the team, only trailing Brook Lopez. He will get the ball its just matter of how well he shoots from the field. Last night he shot an impressive 50% from the field and 3/6 from beyond the arc. It seems like he is starting to find his stroke again and will look to keep it up tonight vs The Raptors.
This is an average matchup up for him with The Raptors allowing the 16th most DK points to SGs, but I think at this new cheap price he should still return value. This is expected to be a very high scoring game with a slate high O/U game total of 223.5 points. There is obviously blow out risk with The Raptors favored by 15.5 points, but this shouldn’t hurt Kilpatrick, as he should still see his playing time no matter how the game goes because he comes off the bench. I am expecting him to score around 25 DK points with solid upside if he sees closer to 30 minutes. With James Harden in a very tough matchup vs The Grizzlies tonight it makes sense to go cheap at SG and I think Kilpatrick is one of the best values at the position at his new cheap price of only $4,400.
C: Greg Monroe: (5,900) Since New Years Eve, Monroe has been playing the minutes he deserves, averaging 30 minutes a night in his last six games. With the heavier minutes, he has been dominate scoring 36.9 DK points a game with a 24.1% usage rate. He has shown no signs of slowing down and should continue this run tonight vs The Heat who have been awful defending centers giving up the 2nd most DK points to the position with a ridiculous opponent +/- of 5.05 points.
He should eat this defense alive and I am expecting at least 30 DK points from him tonight. 40 + DK points isn’t out of the question in this matchup and this is the perfect time to roster him with his price dropping $200 since Tuesday night. At $5,900 he cant be ignored going against this weak Heat defense and he is my favorite play at center on Friday night.
Also Consider: Tyler Johnson, James Johnson, Steve Adams, T.J. McConnell, Stanley Johnson (viable punt still priced at $3,000), Cody Zeller, Spencer Dinwiddle, George Hill, Tim Hardaway Jr., Caris LeVert, Boban Marjanovic, and Gerald Green (Avery Bradley is out again).
