FanDuel NBA Picks – March 16th

Hey Guys, I’m back again offering some of my favorite FanDuel NBA picks for today’s 6 game slate. Tonight features a very interesting game between the Clippers and Nuggets. Both teams have already ruled a couple star players and seem to be going for the commonly used stars and scrubs DFS strategy in real life. The Clippers have already ruled out Jordan and Blake Griffin. While the Nuggets have also ruled out Gallinari, Arthur, and Chandler. This means big minutes for some guys who normally come off the bench. The value in that game is essential because we do have the greatest DFS player of all-time on the slate tonight, Russel Westbrook.

What a frustrating night it was for Kemba Walker who shot just 3-11 from the field and only scored 12 FanDuel points. It was really a frustrating night if you played any of the Hornets including Lamb and Marvin Williams who under performed as well. Harden had a massive first quarter scoring 30 Fanduel points but then finished the game with 45 was extremely frustrating. It was nice to see Clint Capela reach value last night in the blow out win against the Lakers. TJ Warren had a nice game as well going for 41 FD points on his $5.9k salary, and the flip side Willie Cauley-Stein has been putting up monster games as of late. I think his price could reach up into the mid 7K range if he continues to see the heavy minutes he has recently. Lets get into tonight’s FanDuel NBA picks, tonight I’ll be giving out my favorite studs and value picks.

STUD PICKS

PF – Nikola Jokic ($10600) – The Clippers are extremely thin tonight in the back court with both Jordan and Griffin already ruled out. That means Jokic gets the tasty match up against Speights tonight down low, who is not known for his defensive prowess. The Denver Nuggets are one of the teams battling it out to try and secure the number 8 seed in the Western conference playoffs. This means they will be going all out every night, which as we’ve seen recently not all teams are playing their starters a full allotment of minutes. Jokic has been extremely solid lately scoring over 40 points in 4 straight games when given 30+ minutes. Also Jokic has grabbed double digit rebounds in 6 out of his last 7 games. There is plenty of value on this slate so spending up for Jokic shouldn’t be a problem.

SF – Lebron James ($10500) – FanDuel has given James a nice $700 price decrease from Tuesday’s game against the Pistons. I understand Lebron doesn’t have the best match up on the slate tonight going against Utah, but similarly to Westbrook he is match up proof. The last time the Jazz and Cavaliers played Lebron James dropped a solid 51 FD points against the Jazz in January. Lebron reaching value in this is spot is not impossible, the pace will be slowed down, but Hayward who will primarily guard Lebron is no match for his physicality. The efficiency that Lebron has been playing with recently is incredible and its showing up most in his field goal percentage. Lebron has shot more that 50% from the field in 11 out of his last 12 games.

VALUE PICK

PF – Marreese Speights ($3500) – As mentioned above the Clippers  are without their big men tonight in the game against the Nuggets. This means extended run for the always entertaining to watch “Mo Buckets”. Speights should see around 30 minutes tonight against the Nuggets, which means he should easily hit 6-7x on his salary. I ran a query on Fantasy Labs with their on/off tool model with Griffin and Jordan off the floor. Speights scores a very solid 1.05 FD points per minute with those guys off the floor. He also carries a 25% usage rating per 36 minutes, which would put his usage on par with a player like Harrison Barnes. Cash at PF tonight is very easy you lock in Jokic and Speights and move on.

Honorable Mentions – Juancho Hernangomez (PF), Austin Rivers (PG), JJ Reddick (SG), G. Hernangomez (C)

As always best of luck tonight guys and hopefully these FanDuel NBA picks help you win some money tonight!
