FanDuel NBA Picks – March 7th

Hey Guys, I’m back again today offering some of my favorite DFS NBA picks for today’s small 3 game slate. FanDuel has some great tournaments tonight, especially some nice single entry tournaments but those fill fast so lock in your entries now. I suggest playing single entry tournaments on small slates, such as tonight. The reasoning behind that is if you’re not a max entry guy, you’ll have a much harder time hitting the top prize in a multi entry tournament on a slate like tonight. The max entry players tonight have a distinct advantage because they can cover almost all the roster combinations, therefore having a great chance at hitting the optimal line up. That being said none of the single entry tournaments on FanDuel tonight have a six figure payout. Choose wisely my friends.

Lets get into my favorite FanDuel NBA picks for tonight, these picks will be more geared towards tournaments but some will be cash safe as well. Victor Oladipo and Ivaca Zubac are listed as questionable right now.

Point Guard

WASH – John Wall ($10200) – I don’t think Westbrook is a must play due to how he handcuffs the rest of your roster on tonight’s slate. I do however though think there is a possibility Wall can outscore Westbrook tonight and potentially score 55+ FD points. The Suns v Wizards has the highest Vegas total sitting currently at 228, with the Wizards team total of 116.5. The Suns are ranked 26th in DvP against the point guard, and are currently giving up 50+ FD points to against PG who are priced between 10 and 12k. My highest player exposure tonight will for sure be John Wall.

Shooting Guard

POR – CJ McCollum ($7200) – CJ becomes an elite play if Oladipo is ruled out tonight, as he will be matched up with Alex Abrinas. Shooting guard is typically a position I like to spend down on, but tonight is not the night to employ that strategy. CJ has been boom or bust as of late but is still averaging .98 FD PPM on the season and is projected for 30-35 minutes. CJ usage is still the second highest on the team sitting only behind Lillard and is still shooting between 15-22 times a game.

This game is currently sitting at a 221.5 total down from 223, which is trending the the negative direction. But this game still only sits 6 points behind the total in Phoenix, but it sits nearly 20 points ahead of the total in Dallas. I will be looking to get exposure to this game through CJ and Lillard.

Power Forward

DAL – Dirk Nowtizki ($6000) – Yes, I know this is 2017 not 2012. Listen to me for just one second, Dirk has been playing great basketball this year and gets an amazing match up at home against the dreadful Lakers. Dirk has scored over 20 FD points in 12 straight games and has even popped some nights for 43 and 39 FD points, and just as recent as Sunday went for 35. The Lakers struggle defending opposing centers, and struggle might even be too kind of a word as they are currently ranked last in DVP against the Center position. The addition of Noel, will keep Dirk’s ownership reasonable tonight, and I actually think you can differentiate your line up by rostering them both in tournaments tonight.

Players involved in the Lakers vs Dallas will surely go under owned due to the low total and slow pace. The strategy of rostering players such as Yogi, Russell, Curry, and Harrison Barnes could prove pivotal if one should go off at decreased ownership. Keep that in mind when creating rosters and trying add in differentiation. Best of luck tonight.
