FanDuel NBA Picks – March 8th

Hey Guys, I’m back again today offering some of my favorite DFS NBA picks for today’s massive 11 game slate. FanDuel has some great tournaments tonight, especially the $8 NBA Legendary Layup which has a million dollar in guaranteed money. First place in that tournament brings you home a cool 200k! That’d be a nice payday right? There is another tournament I’m looking at which is nearly full, and it is the $3 NBA shot which has a max entry of 15 lineups. I really like how FanDuel and Draft Kings are offering different tournaments for all levels, but have also limited entry amounts in some tournaments.

The plays last night went pretty well hitting on two of our three picks, with John Wall and Dirk hitting over 6X value. CJ missed shooting only 8-20 from the field with no assists and only two rebounds against the Thunder. That being said , lts get into my favorite FanDuel NBA picks for tonight. These picks will be more geared towards tournaments but some will be cash safe as well. Make sure you stay up to date with the NBA news as Vucevic is already ruled out and Jimmy Butler missed shoot around this morning.

Point Guard

GSW – Steph “Chef” Curry ($10400) – I am in love with the GSW back court tonight and yes that means the streaky shooter Klay as well. The Warriors are coming of a disappointing road trip going 3-2, losing Durant for the foreseeable future, and shot under 30% from behind the arc. The Warriors are a much better home team when it comes to shooting the basketball from deep as a team. Curry personally shoots a whopping 13% better from behind the line at home then he does when on the road. The Warriors have the highest team total of 115.5, and Curry has a great individual match up against Thomas.

Shooting Guard

GSW – Klay Thompson  ($6700) – The second member of the splash bro’s makes his first appearance in my NBA DFS picks this season. Klay is coming off one of his worst halves in his career against atlanta, committing 3 fouls, 2 turnovers and scoring 2 points. Klay played better in the second half but continued to struggle from behind the field, but the even with the shooting woes the Warriors still found a way to win. The last 5 home games for the Warriors, Klay has put up scores of over 50+ FD twice and 35+ FD points twice as well. The only game he fell below that mark in his last 5 was against the Clippers. Klay also shoots a mind boggling 49% from behind the 3 point line at home as opposed to 34% on the road.

Small Forward

MIL- Khris Middleton ($5700) – How nice is it that FanDuel still has Middleton priced below 6k? Middleton has been outstanding as of late and has started in 4 straight games since the injury to Beasley. The Bucks small forward has gone for 39+ points twice in his last four games, and has paid off his new salary in all of those games. Also Middleton has seen double digit shots in 4 straight games, along with 30+ minutes as well.  The Bucks are playing a Knicks team that really doesn’t play defense, especially Melo who should get the match up with Middleton tonight.

Honorable mention – Sam Dekker (If Ryan Anderson is out)

Power Forward

ORL – Aaron Gordon ($5700) – This is a cash game play tonight, go ahead and lock him in he will have massive ownership on FanDuel tonight. He is fade worthy in GPPs tonight, due to the ownership % and his lack of a ceiling. Vucevic is out once again for the third straight game, and since he has been out Gordon has played 30+ minutes 3 straight. Gordons floor rises extremely high when playing the four because of his rebounding and opportunities he inherits for blocks. The absence of a big power forward on the Bulls roster should open up space for Gordon to penetrate off the dribble and pick up rebounds on the defensive side.

Center

NO – DeMarcus Cousins ($9500) – That’s right Cousins is under 10K for the first time in I don’t know how long.If you’ve been watching the Pelicans the experiment is not going well either. The Pelicans have gone 2-5 out in their last 7 games and are on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture. The good thing for DFS purposes is this has dropped Cousins down to a reasonable price. The chalk in tournaments tonight will be on Biyombo and Gobert who are in great spots. I think Boogie as a real shot tonight at going for 60+ and being apart of the winning LU’s on FD tonight for GPPs. The Raptors acquired Serge Ibaka but he will be tasked with slowing down Davis leaving Cousins 1 on 1 with JV tonight. Boogie should eat tonight and he is one of my favorite GPP plays.
