FanDuel NBA Picks – May 2nd

Hey Guys, I’m back again offering some of my favorite FanDuel NBA picks for today’s 2 game main slate. Its been a little while since I’ve done an NBA article mainly because I thought people would transition over to baseball. That has not been the case entirely, as I still see a ton of people talking NBA on twitter. I’m going to try and get out my favorite plays for the rest of the playoffs as long as there is two games in a day!

The short slate strategy I’ve written about before applies to the two game slates, but strategy for this small of a slate goes even further. I’ve talked about how you want to fit in the studs at scarce positions, like tonight that position is Power Forward. I would not advise against fading “playoff” Draymond because he has the highest floor and ceiling by 10+ points. But a way to differentiate your lineup to avoid sharing a top prize with 25+ people is to leave money on the table, not just $100 but leave 8 or 900 dollars on the table to avoid a large number of people entering the same line up as you.

Lets get into tonight’s FanDuel NBA picks!

Follow me on Twitter for additional analysis and updates through out the day!

SG – Brad Beal $7900 – FanDuel’s pricing for Beal seem to be off considering what hes done in his most recent series against the Hawks. The shooting guard for the Wizards scored 33+ FanDuel points in 5 of the 6 games including scoring 39-47 FanDuel points in 4 of the 6 games. Beals minutes have been extremely consistent playing in over 35 minutes in every including eclipsing 40+ in a few of those contest. Tonights game against Boston isn’t a must win, but the Wizards do not want to go back home being down 0-2, knowing they’ll most likely have to win a game 7 in Boston if they want to win the series. The game is currently has a 217.5 total which sits 10 points higher then the later game. I want a majority of my ownership to the first game of the slate.

PG – George Hill $6000 – I love picking point guards in up pace match ups, like the game we have tonight between UTAH vs GSW. The Jazz are one of the slowest pace teams in the NBA, playing against one of the fastest offenses in the NBA. This means that the Jazz will have more possessions tonight they what they average on a yearly basis, this means more opportunity for the Jazz players to score. If we break it down even further this guarantees more time George Hill touches the ball, because he brings the ball up the court. Hill played a great series in terms of fantasy production against the Clippers, scoring 23+ FD points in 6 of the 7 games including 4 games of 26-37.3 FD points. I think Jazz players as a total will go under owned, which makes them interesting plays for GPPs.

SF – Otto Porter $4900 – If Morris isn’t 100% tonight, then this becomes one of my favorite plays of the night. Porter has been playing extremely well the past few games for the Wizards and its showing in his fantasy production. Otto Porter has averaged 28.5 FanDuel points in his last 4 games. I’ve touched on the total for tonight’s game on the write up about Beal, but the same applies to Porter who is seeing big minutes as well. I expect Porter to stay on the floor for 38 minutes a night against Boston who loves to go small allowing Porter to play the 3 or the 4 if the Wizards try and match them.
