FanDuel NBA Picks – May 3rd

Hey Guys, I’m back again offering some of my favorite FanDuel NBA picks for today’s 2 game main slate. Tonight we have another two game slate on FanDuel. The first game is the Toronto Raptors @ Cleveland Cavaliers the total is 213.5 with the Cavs being 7 point favorites. The second game of the night is between the red hot Houston Rockets @ San Antonio Spurs, the game has a 215 point total with the Spurs as a 5.5 point favorite even after the beating they took on Monday. Were going to stick with the same format as yesterday, by giving my favorite tournament player in each price bracket.

Lets get into tonight’s FanDuel NBA picks!

Follow me on Twitter for additional analysis and updates through out the day!

SF – Kawhi Leonard – $10900 – The best two way player in the NBA wasnt enough to stop the Rockets onslaught Monday night in San Antonio. The good news is Leonard still put up a respectable score even though he sat the entire fourth quarter. Kawhi should have no problem continuing to be the source of points on offense and defense for the Spurs tonight. The Spurs are expected to score around 110 points tonight and are favored once again, yes the blow out is a concern but I’ll side with Vegas on this one. I think Leonard has 60+ point upside in this pace up match up against the Rockets and could go under owned with what people saw on Monday night.

C – Tristan Thompson – $5700 – The big man for the Cavs has been destroying the Raptors front court all season long and that didn’t stop in game one. Thompson scored 34.8 FanDuel points on just 3-8 shooting, which is a good sign moving forward. The Raptors struggle to defend the rim and rebound allowing for additional points to the Centers for the Cavaliers. I don’t expect to see anything different tonight from the Cavaliers in terms of rotation and Tristan is a lock to play 32+ minutes as long as the game isn’t a massive blowout. No other Center on the FanDuel slate tonight will see over 25(ish) minutes, I think you lock in the safe floor and highest ceiling of all centers.

This could of gone a number of different ways, I like Deron Williams, PJ Tucker, and still like the sub 5k price on Lou Williams. But I’m going a different route, the Spurs must make a significant change to their line up to deal with the Rockets.

SF – Jonathon Simmons – $1600 – The king of in-game or game to adjustments is coach Pop, and he has to do something drastic this game. LaMarcus Aldridge had a plus/minus of -36 the worst a single player has ever had during a playoff game under coach Pop. I personally think Pop will play a smaller line up tonight to deal with the wings of Rockets, more specifically Ariza and Anderson. Its simple Aldridge cannot defend either of those player out on the perimeter leading to open shots for those guys. I think Simmons plays a lot more minutes tonight as the Spurs have to defend the 3 point line more efficiently or the series will be over.

Best of luck tonight.
