Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings Pick – NBA April 3, 2022

After dispatching the Utah Jazz last night, the Golden State Warriors arrive in Sacramento for a back-to-back. Golden State came from behind from a 13-point deficit at halftime to beat the Jazz.

If you’re going to ask me what I think of the Jazz for the playoffs, I’m going to tell you there is no clear answer. The Jazz are one of the most frustrating teams in the NBA. They can look great at times, but lose too many games the Jazz should probably win.

Credit the Warriors in the second half for not giving up in the absence of Steph Curry, though. They won the 4th quarter, 30-20, to hand the Jazz a difficult loss on Saturday night.

Golden State is right back on the floor, this time a stop on the road at Sacramento. The Warriors are doing their best to win without Curry, though it’s been tough despite the gutsy win last night.

They are 4-10 in 14 games going into Sacramento in the absence of their floor general. The Kings aren’t the trickiest opponent, but off a come from behind versus the Jazz last night, it’s questionable that they have a complete effort.

The Kings are near the bottom of the league with a record of 29-49, but still statistically alive for the final play-in spot in the Western Conference. However, they’re on life support entering Sunday.

If the Kings lose and the Spurs win today, it’s all over as far as the postseason is concerned. For a team 20 games under .500, they shouldn’t have any life, to begin with, though.

The Kings are coming off back-to-back wins versus the Rockets, 121-118, 122-117, and have won four of their previous five attempts. Head below for our free Warriors vs. Kings prediction on April 3, 2022.

Warriors vs. Kings Prediction:

The Warriors aren’t the same without Steph Curry on the field, though I didn’t have to tell you that much.

They dug deep with their defense to bypass the Jazz last night. It was a disappointing showing for the Jazz offense in the 4th quarter, but credit Golden State.

Are the Warriors going to have it in them to find motivation on Sunday night? I have my doubts that the Warriors are going to put out their best effort in this one.

They are going into tonight with 110.7 points per game for 15th in the league. Without Curry on the court, the Warriors have notched 107 points per game in 14 attempts.

It’s very possible to beat the Kings with a good offense. The Kings are 29th in the league, with 115.8 points allowed per game.

I don’t know if the Warriors will be completely committed tonight, though. They may take their eyes off the Kings after clinching a playoff berth last night.

Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings Betting Trends:

  • 0-4 ATS in their previous four games as a betting favorite on the road
  • 0-4 ATS in their previous four games versus a team with a losing record
  • 8-20-2 ATS in their previous 30 games as a betting favorite
  • 3-10 ATS in their previous 13 games versus the Kings
  • 0-4-1 ATS in their previous five games on a Sunday
  • 5-1 ATS in their previous six games
  • 7-2 ATS in their previous nine games as an underdog on the road
  • 7-3-1 ATS in their previous 11 games as an underdog
  • 4-0-1 ATS in their previous five gmaes versus a team with a winning record
  • 4-1 ATS in their previous five games versus the Warriors at home

The Kings have been competitive recently and have covered the spread four times in five attempts versus teams with a winning record. In the one game they didn’t, the Kings took a push.

While the defense has taken it on the chin, their offense has come to play more often this season. The Kings have scored 110.7 points per game for 16th in the NBA.

As good as the Golden State defense can be when they’re motivated, the Warriors haven’t been up to par lately with 116.2 points against per game and a 47% field goal percentage in their last five outings.

In a game where the Warriors probably coast after clinching a playoff berth last night, expect the Kings to have more motivation at home in this one. Fading the public and backing the Kings probably looks like the best value.
