The NBA is set up with another great slate of games throughout Thursday night. Eight games are up on the board throughout December 17. One of these matchups will be between the Charlotte Hornets and the Portland Trail Blazers. These two teams have had opposite starts to the season, but will look for a big win in this one. This game will tip off at around 10:00 PM Eastern time.
Charlotte has earned a record of 16-14 to start out the season, which has them sitting in sixth place of the Eastern Conference. The Hornets are coming off a win in their last game and two of their last three. Charlotte is two games behind the fourth seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. The Hornets will look for a fast start on the road in this one.
The Trail Blazers have put up a record of 11-18 to open up the season, which has them in eleventh place of the Western Conference. Portland has lost seven games in a row entering this one and ten of their last eleven. The Trail Blazers will look to finally get back on track. Portland will look for a much needed win at home on Friday night.
These two teams have had opposite starts to the season, but will look for a big win in this one. The Hornets have been much better recently as of late. Portland has struggled to get anything going in their last stretch of games. If either team can come out strong in this one, it could be enough to lead them to the win.

These two teams have been strong early in the season and will look for a big win in this one. LaMelo Ball is questionable in this game after recently getting off COVID protocol. Portland is missing C.J. McCollum entering Friday night’s tilt. If either team can get some players to step up early, it could be enough for the win in this one.
The Trail Blazers are on a long losing streak entering this one. I think that Portland can bounce back in this one though. The Hornets knocked off Portland earlier this season, but I think the Trail Blazers can earn a win at home. Portland will look for some players to step up in this one as they try to finally get back in the win column.
BetOnline has the Trail Blazers listed as a -2 ½ against the spread in this one. This gives a slight edge to Portland on Friday night. I think that this line is accurate with the Trail Blazers at home. Portland is on a long losing streak, but I think they will bounce back in this one. As slight favorites, I like the value on the Trail Blazers to cover the spread.
