With the early game this Sunday being Boston in Toronto, I am going with the later games today at six pm ET. But the lone late game features a fun offensive affair between two teams that know how to score and are a double overtime game away from hitting the 300 pt mark.
NBA Betting Picks for Sunday, November 21st:
New Orleans Hornets @ Sacramento Kings – After completing a trade that is all but official the Hornets are without Peja and Bayless two reserve players that they can quickly cover in turn awaiting the arrival of the Toronto Raptors starting PG Jarrett Jack, who close to CP3 will add to this overachieving team and won’t be a distraction after starting to head to the bench and back-up Belli and Paul. The Hornets only loss came on the road, they have enjoyed a 7-0 run at home. All the requisite stats could be stated for this match up but they are obvious a glaring. Hornets lost their last away game to Dallas and Sac won their last home game against the Nets. New Orleans continues to roll and has won four of five and revenged the defeat to the Mavs quickly with a win against D two days later at home.
LA Lakers VS Golden State Warriors – GAME TOTAL – With a big number and both teams offenses rolling, I at first glance looked to the under. But upon further review, the Lakers are finding more and more avenues and scoring options. All of their players seem to have fallen in love with the three ball and are statistically making them at will. So without Kobe and Pau having to kill themselves night in and out with overexertion due to lack of team help they are fresher than ever and with Andrew Bynum returning later all is well. With the bigs for the Warriors hurt and Stephen Curry feeling a bit better on that ankle I have no reservations in taking this over. Also watching Monta Ellis firsthand was great, but seeing him go down to a back injury was hard to watch. But putting up 40 against the Knicks shows that he is feeling much better. Hoping GSW keeps this one close enough to get the offenses rolling late and to give us our cover and a total of at least 225.
Washington Wizards @ Detroit Pistons – In an unpredictable game I will try to do the improbable. At a combined 8-15 these teams have shown that they can compete against their lower level counterparts. But on the road, which is a big stat is that the Wizards are 0-5 on the road, taking care of business at home. Detroit still continues to struggle and will not give up any of their guards. To a fault they cannot still believe that they are going to win, night in and night out. Rodney Stuckey seems to be the only constant with 16 ppg and 6 apg. The part-timers Gordon and Hamilton are just that and being paid at just over 20 million for both is a bad sign. Plus what was to be their one staple in Tayshaun Prince, doesn’t want to be around this coach. The only publicity this team receives nationally is that of the KG cancer remark, uttered to Charlie V. John Wall may not be ready and if he plays it will be limited, I am told.
