In a big schedule this Friday night in the NBA, I can see a good number of games to pay attention to, including but not limited to the Heat visiting Madison Square, Utah in Norleans and Steve Nash attempting to pull off the upset at the best team in Texas, thanks Chuck!
NBA Betting Picks for Friday, December 17th:
Miami Heat @ New York Knicks – This seems to be a bad match up and could show us what to expect in a probable playoff series. LeBron tears up D’Antoni coached teams and regularly hits for over 30 points and went for 52 at Madison Square Garden as the fans cheered him on against their Knicks. But as NYC plays the matador defense and continually lets opposing teams carve up their defense, I am sure we will see the three-headed monster in South Beach, do the same. Miami is on a ten game win streak and I am pulling the trigger with us giving up just five. Chandler, Gallinari and Fields need to come up big in this one, defensively and making ‘MV3’ work. In a horrendous game in Miami against Cleveland, the Heat ended winning by six and at worst I see a total like that, for this game today.

Sacramento Kings @ Oklahoma City Thunder – With OKC’s young three scoring at will, the NBA should be on notice. They are still relying on the jump shot a bit too much, but it’s to be expected with no low post scoring threat. The Kings have eight losses away and the Thunder have 8 total. Winners of four straight and seven of ten, the Kings cannot boast a similar trend at one win in their last ten games played. At home in the last two, City has beaten the competition by more than our spread in the last two and Houston is a much better team than Sacramento at this time. This game is going to offer a great look for Oklahoma, Westbrook being guarded by nobody who can stop him, Sefolosha (a defensive guy) matching against Evans and Durant against a defensively deficient small forward-three spot. Translated, blowout!
Memphis Grizzlies @ Houston Rockets – In a matchup of two up-an-coming teams, the Grizzlies are developing quickly, but the wins are coming sporadically. Houston is about out of hope in getting a healthy Yao back and may not even be able to settle for a part-time Ming, if you read the latest reports. But a fresh new acquisition in Terrence Williams is sure to energize this team and his energy as a slasher and youngster should do wonders for a Houston bench decimated by injury as most 6th men, have been thrust into start full-time. Houston can beat the lower class opponents at the Toyota Center, but can we put Memphis in this category? Gasol may have his way with mere size at the five spot, the adversaries at all positions offers up a great game and a look see into what these teams are made of.
The away teams, seem to have the edge tonight, if you are looking for some good spreads, my only other game to look closer in, would be Portland visited by Minnesota.
