The new look Phoenix Suns are visiting San Antone and Dallas visiting Miami for the two needing to be highlighted for the NBA tonight. Also Orlando is looking real new with wings acquired in ATL. Below are my NBA picks and predictions for Monday night!
NBA Betting Picks for Monday, December 20th:
Orlando Magic @ Atlanta Hawks – Orlando is looking to start playing tough defensively and looks to stop the scorers nightly of other teams. But in trading for Hedo Turkoglu, Earl Clark, Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson they are not going to see the effort change in the slightest, if they looked closer at the personnel acquired, they would and can predict a decline in defensive intensity. The freshness of the deal may contribute to them buying into things for the short term, but I have seen each of these players be the fourth or fifth best defender on the floor. Joe Johnson is back, but not up to snuff offensively for the Hawks but it does help them with a return to past comfort in the offense. With Orlando making serious moves, these players better buy in quickly or they to will be gone once again at seasons end. Atlanta just lost yesterday to a bad, New Jersey Nets team.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Portland Trailblazers – Brandon Roy and Brandon Jennings are both unavailable to there team stated in reports. But the Portland Trailblazers are much tougher at home and have the depth to handle the Roy situation much better. Portland has won their last two and Milwaukee has lost their last two. Going to Dallas in their last win and shocking the Mavericks. I think with all of Orlando’s dealings and the December 15th date of trading newly acquired free agents lifted, we must keep in mind daily of the whereabouts of the Blazer players, as to not become shorthanded at the wrong time. POR has won its last five home games and the Bucks have lost its previous four visits at the Rose Garden. TB’s defeated the Bucks 90-76 on November 2nd this year and had all players aboard and rolling coming into the game, but it was on the road.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Clippers – Minnesota could be a decent team, if they had an adequate home schedule to go with the road. They are young and thus not winning on the road, just hoping to compete nightly at 1-16, just coming off of their first win away from home. Timberwolves are 5-6 at home and fans are coming out with a mediocre home team they have been starving for a team to be proud of. LA is going for their third straight win, after getting key members back and being better for using their youngsters. Coach Vinny Del Negro wanted one thing this year I am sure and that was to beat the Chicago Bulls! As long as Baron Davis doesn’t have the ball to win the game in the end, I feel comfortable in taking Blake’s Clips.
Houston to soldier on in Golden State, Suns getting 11 at Spurs and Indy taking things offensively and flexing their Eastern Conference muscle against the big bug eyes. Good Luck for those following my NBA picks!
