The NBA has nine games for us tonight, starting with Bulls-Wiz, where you can see Rashard Lewis suit up for the Nick Young show. Thunder in ‘The Big Apple’ and are we in for another big finish with Spurs v. Nuggets?
NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, December 22nd:
Philadelphia VS Boston – In their last game versus each other, it took a brilliant pass from Rajon Rondo to Kevin Garnett to win it at the buzzer, a 102-101 final. Boston played out of their minds on offense, shooting 56% from the field, 58 from downtown and 91 from the free-throw line. Rondo was by far their best player and beat the Sixers in the toughest game of their 13 game win streak. Philadelphia matched them throughout and had seven players contribute offensively to almost pull off the upset. Yesterday however was a 45 point loss to the Bulls and with them struggling to eclipse even 80 points, I am going way under. Boston with Rondo it is hard to go over on a regular basis and he should be out for this one and close to another week, if reports are correct on his ailing ankle.

Detroit Pistons @Toronto Raptors – Toronto lastly went to Detroit, turned the ball over, with newly acquired Jerryd Bayless and starter Jose Calderon injured. That is how the first half went and then decided to attack with Bayless and Barbosa in the second half, coming back and winning after a 25 point deficit, by ten, 120-110. A game lost for Detroit that may impact the rest of the season. Is any lead safe with this Pistons squad you have to ask? Their psyche was tested and destroyed at the hands of a not so stellar Raptor team. Now facing Detroit in Toronto, T.O. should feel more at ease with a slow start and able to stymie any runs given up to the horrible road team entering the ACC. The backcourt, deemed to be a strength of the Pistons was torched with the trio of DeRozen and the B’s going 25 for 37 in field-goal attempts, making 15 ft’s and diming 15 assists in total. Ben Wallace had a career night with 23 pts, 14 reb (9-off.), 5 stl and 4 ast. If he is their secret weapon again, they will lose.
Oklahoma City Thunder @ New York Knicks – Oklahoma, in visiting Charlotte last night showed that when ready, they can score on anybody at will; in a game close at times, the Thunder showed their resolve and look to surge into this year’s post-season. Winners, four of their last five, City looks to take it to a defensively lackluster Knicks team that struggles to stop mediocre offensive teams and still tries to outscore the big boys. New York has lost its last two at home and are coming off of an embarrassing streak ending loss to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers by a touchdown. You can be sure that OKC has seen the scouting report and defensively will double and triple Amare Stoudemire into submission to win the game outright.
Cleveland getting double digits, can the Hornets be trusted giving up so much? Utah feels uneasy visiting Minnesota and Denver getting eight after losing by a charge call against San Antone.
