NBA Picks and Predictions for December 27th

In a surprising 10 games in the NBA, we sit back and dig for the goodies left for the boxing week sales. Dallas in the City is sure to be down the wire. Portland visiting Utah and this may spell the end of this unit as the new GM is not bashful and will make deals this season.

NBA Betting Picks for Monday, December 27th:

Atlanta Hawks @ Milwaukee Bucks – Milwaukee slightly favored in this one, the emergence of Earl Boykins as a viable option was a surprise to everyone but him. A tough math up for most point guards, Mike Bibby will be playing tag all night with Boykins at a mere 5’5″ at the point. In their last meeting the Bucks took care of business against a Hawks team at home, 108-91. MIL may not be as offensively gifted when it comes to all out scoring and numbers, but they key in on, with Coach Scott Skiles preaching defense, rebounding and taking care of the ball. The favorite has won this match up the last 14 of 21 times. Those choosing to step up are a mixed bag for the Bucks nightly and thus offer up a hard team to scout for who to key in on defensively.

Free Pick BUCKS -2 at -105

Atlanta @ Milwaukee – With Earl Boykins guarding Mike Bibby, look for him to get seemingly uncontested shots and screens at will, trying to take advantage of the lack of size offered up by the veteran point guard. Also Earl will be able to create with Bibby struggling to stay afoot with the PG for the Bucks. In this match up the game has gone over the last 6/7 meetings in Milwaukee and the Bucks are well rested in time for this game. The over is 12-4 in their last 16 match ups overall. The number is low and have only gone under this total, once in their last five and for the Hawks the percentage still favors the over in their last five. Brandon Jennings may be out still, but is the leading scorer in this match up at just under 18 a game. Joe Johnson is not holding up the offense to get his, so the ball can move quicker under new coach Larry Drew and that will help our over.

Washington Wizards @ Houston Rockets – Heading to a warmer climate the Wizards look to get back a fresh JaVale McGee and Andray Blatche two-thirds of their starting front court. John Wall is back and now is the reason they can win and lose nightly, now that Gilbert Arenas was dealt to the Orlando Magic. Arenas would still lead this team in scoring and Andray Blatche looks to cement himself with that honor, before John Wall realizes his potential. Houston is playing outside their mind of late, the competition hasn’t been stiff, but has won mainly on the road are already acclimated to a warmer climate. Washington can only boast one win in ten and are a dreadful 0-14 on the road. Houston will win, but by how much? The spread is monstrous at first look. John Wall posted a triple double in this last match up and Houston was in a much different place, scuffling out of the gate. The Wiz won 98-91 November 10th but are not good against a team that is about to go over .500 and for which whom possess’ a great home record. Two 20-pt scorers may go off, Scola and Martin have the makings of a constant stat-stuffing pair.

I am liking Golden State to soldier through and take it by a field goal against the Sixers.
