NBA has two early games this Sunday with six at 6-9 pm ET. Hornets/Spurs have to be on top of the NBA pack for tonight. Followed by Memphis in Denver and very little defense to be played in the Warriors/OKC game and the Wash in the desert.
NBA Betting Picks for Sunday, December 5th:
Memphis Grizzlies @ Denver Nuggets – After watching Rudy Gay nail the game winner against the Heat in LeBron’s face, it has been hard for me to go against the Grizz. But one night doesn’t change history, at least in the regular season. The trip up to Denver, Colorado has always been a bad result for MEM. Denver is streaking and not losing at home, whereas Memphis has just two wins on the road and this will be their tenth game played. A huge number is 23, they’ve lost that many games in 24 meetings and been outscored by just over 11 points on average. Denver beating the Clippers by only five on Friday is the only eyebrow raised for this matchup and spread, so I feel great about this pick.

Washington Wizards @ Phoenix Suns – Until Washington can prove that they can win on the road; I am going to continue betting big against them. This is #10 on the road and they are winless. For the Suns they have won seven straight over the Wiz and have laid an average of an 18 point beating on Washington every time. Everything in this matchup favors the Suns; Nash is productive and still helping others get their offense and continuing to be crafty and take advantage of the future star point guards, that teams are in love with now and starting from day one. J.Rich can boast a good repertoire of moves to counter anything Hinrich or Agent minus zero can throw at them. Gee let me think, Grant Hill can take on all comers at a youngish age, career-wise. Inside it gets tougher, but with the mix of Warrick, Frye and Turkoglu this team is very versatile and as long as they somewhat cover the rim, things should work in our favor.

Washington VS Phoenix – Washington just gave up 127 points in Toronto and will do the same against the Suns. The youngsters for Washington will enjoy the challenge and give up easy buckets for breakout attempts. With the guard play being exceptional for both and them possessing their key assets in the backcourt, how could this not be a high scoring affair? Four out the five starters for both of these teams are scoring in double figures nightly and this trend should continue this Sunday. If you look at the stats, John Wall still leads in the major categories and JaVale McGee in the others. They have their staples inside and out; the Wizards just need consistency from their 2, 3 and 4 spots, a common thread for losing teams throughout the NBA.

Portland, if they play well can take the Clippers by a touchdown, though LA is staying close in losses lately. Golden State to cover if Durant is out! Are the Spurs worth seven against New Orleans, can N.O. step up against and play with the big boys? Is Cleveland losing their backbone or still worth a look visiting Detroit and getting five, LeBron took their heart once, did he just take this teams soul too?
