Friday offers the biggest amount of NBA action this week, with 11 games. I feel completely confident in my picks today with my picks yesterday being right on with Portland and the under! OKC in Boston could be good and will be a good test for the Thunder to come together. The Spurs/Jazz 9pm ET game looks like a great game to watch. And Chicago in Dallas has a solid East-West match up and a contrast in styles with a pure passer in J.Kidd facing the scoring leader for the Bulls Derrick Rose.
NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, November 19th:
Milwaukee Bucks @ Philadelphia 76ers – Milwaukee has been a solid bet in spots this year and have beaten the better teams in the NBA, but have lost to the likes the former 8-0 squads, Lakers and Hornets. On the other side of the spectrum, we have the Philadelphia 2-10 Sixers. Who have lost consecutive games to Toronto and Cleveland. Plus they were not close in the final. With the new additions and old faces it is surprising to see that Jrue Holiday and Elton Brand lead the 76ers in all of the top five statistical categories. The Bucks will continue their emergence as a playoff team in the East and show that they can play with the top-flight in the NBA and bury the bad teams in the process.
Cleveland VS New Orleans – GAME TOTAL – With these two stellar defensive squads the total is the way to go. When Cleveland is unable to get easy buckets they are a real ugly team to watch. Especially when point-guard Mo Williams isn’t hitting his shots. Watching Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon try to create shots is difficult to watch as they are shooters and slashers on the wing for LBJ to hit. I am still surprised that Coach Byron Scott chooses to go with them. It just may be a lack of options and trying to win games with veteran presence. If you love defense then this is your game! Offering up shot blockers and great man-to-man defense at first glance this one promises to end in the seventies, low eighties. But at over 190 I am comfortable in taking the under with a maximum final of, say 100-91 for New Orleans?
Houston Rockets @ Toronto Raptors – Toronto usually holds well when at the ACC and Houston can only beat the Raptors with hard work. Leandro Barbosa is set to return and will add some scoring coming off of the bench and is a good combination with Linas Kleiza at the wing spots off the bench. The scary thing is this year, both teams show up rarely and are awesome some nights and below-par others. Toronto coming off of a good victory in Philly looks poised to try and grasp that eighth playoff spot, if only the Point-Guard play is less erratic. The visiting team has lost six games straight in this series, so you can see the way I am leaning. Both of these teams have lost in Washington in their last five games played and doesn’t give us as much information as I’d like. Both of these teams are fighting to find their identities and seeing if this season will be a wash or a playoff pursuit.
In three other games tonight I would take a look at San Antonio getting 2.5, Sacramento at home versus the Nets and New York getting just over a field goal in Golden State. Also, Cleveland might be worth a look at +9.5 in NWO.
