For Monday night basketball there is a few marquee match ups in six games to be played, including the game versus Charlotte and the Spurs. Definitely guaranteed to be an ugly affair hotly contested nonetheless and a must see for purest’s. All three of my picks below are in the three best and most competitive games featuring the top teams in the NBA.
NBA Betting Picks November 8th:
Atlanta Hawks @ Orlando Magic – Atlanta is 4-0 on the road and Orlando is 3-0 at home, so something’s got to give in this one. Both squads have won their last 4/5 and have beaten the lesser squads in the NBA. They’ve lost the testing affairs against playoff bound teams. The Magic lost in Miami and the Hawks lost at home to Phoenix! That is the story for me as I don’t think ATL is ready to leapfrog Orlando just yet. The one worrisome note is that VC and Jameer may be out for Monday’s game. The Magic swept the Hawks in the second round of the playoffs last year. The only issue is the number being set so high we will need a total team effort for this one, but if you saw the effort against the Suns last night it wasn’t pretty and the defense of this opposition will not let them back in.
Denver Nuggets @ Chicago Bulls – With Denver rolling and Melo relishing the time gained at the four spot, look for the Nuggets to offensively show up against the scuffling Bulls who need a healthy injection of Boozer on offense. Chicago has struggled on the road and could not stay with the massive point producers in New York. Without Nene and K-Mart inside Denver has gone over 101 points in four games straight and scored 95 against the defensively stiff New Orleans Hornets, in their first loss on the road. I will take the points in this one and put my trust in Carmelo and the 1-2 & 3 spots getting it done and taking it personal.
Boston Celtics @ Dallas Mavericks – Boston has had its doubters as age will be an issue all year, but this organization has kept its pieces and brought in like guys to fill for the players they’ve lost. The Celtics have been beating the competition and not leaving any doubt that the teams they’ve faced are inferior teams. Going to OKC and beating them by nine was a good notch to put on their belt in this early season as critics can see it on tape now. This Dallas team seems to only be able to knock off the offensively defunct teams and struggles to take the lead against the others. Needing Melo to miss a jumper at the end of a recent game to give them the win, that barely rolled out.
Check this out, with the action of the night being the Warriors visiting Toronto, which will be just downright offensive! Also the Suns in Memphis where whoever decides to play defense first, wins!
