NBA Predictions and Free Picks for December 16th:

Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic – The Raptors come into tonight’s action having dropped the first game of this road trip last night in Miami, and boast a 4-11 road record overall.  It is a big road trip for the Raptors as they sit 9th in the East, 7 spots back of their opponent this evening.  The Magic are 2nd in the East, going 7-3 in their last 10 overall.  However, after what was close to an embarrassing loss last night, I look for the Raptors to come out hard tonight to cover the large 11-point spread.

Free Pick – Toronto +11 (-105) – Not sure how to read these odds?  Learn how at

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers – The Philadelphia 76ers are 4-8 at home this season and the major problem is they have only won 2 others games all year.  The Cavs have an impressive 8-5 road record this season, and sit 11 spots ahead of the 76ers in the Eastern Conference standings.  After beating up on the last place Nets last night, I look for Cleveland to roll through the 2nd last place team in the East tonight in Philadelphia.

Free Pick – Cleveland -6 (-110) – Bet it now at

Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets – The Rockets got a boost last night as Tracy McGrady returned to the lineup for the first time this season.  While he only recorded 3 points in very limited action, it was no doubt a big boost in a 107-96 win over the Pistons.  While Denver had last night off and hold an 11-1 home record, I believe the 8-6 road record of the 5th place Rockets is more impressive.  The 8.5 spread seems large for a team that just got their star player back into action.  I like the Rockets to beat tonight’s spread.

Free Pick – Houston +8.5 (-110)
