NBA Predictions and Free Picks December 29th:

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Washington Wizards – Both of these teams were in action last night, with the Thunder coming out on top in New Jersey, while the Wizards lost a heart breaker to the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime.  The Thunder are one of the NBA;s most improved teams from last year, and come into tonight’s action having won 3 games in a row.  The Thunder are also an impressive 8-7 on the road, while Washington sits at 5-7 on their home court.  The Thunder sit one spot out of a playoff spot in a very tough Western Conference, while the Wizards are 7 games below the .500 mark in a weak Eastern Conference.  I Like the Thunder to cover a small spread tonight on the road.

Free Pick – THUNDER -1 at -105

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Atlanta Hawks –  The game of the evening tonight in Atlanta will see two red hot teams in action.  The Cavs are 9-1 in their last 10 overall, while the Hawks are 8-2 in that same ten-game span.  The Cavs hold an impressive 12-6 road record, but may be in tough tonight as they Hawks sit at 12-2 on home court this season.  Lebron and the Cavs have held team to under 50% FG percentage in 22 straight meeting, but could run into a hot and potent offense tonight in Atlanta.  With two red-hot, high-powered offenses clashing tonight in Atlanta, I am leaning towards a high-scoring affair in a battle of two of the NBA’s best.

Free Pick – OVER 193 at -110

New York Knicks @ Detroit Pistons – These two teams come into tonight’s game with identical 11-19 records.  The Knicks average slightly over 100 points on the road on offense, which could be tough for the Pistons as they average only 90 points per game at home this season on offense.  The Pistons are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday night games.  The Knicks are 7-1 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday night games, and I look for them to beat the 5-point spread tonight in Auburn Hills.
