NBA Predictions and Free Picks January 9th:

Atlanta Hawks @ Orlando Magic – Both of these teams come into tonight’s game after playing last night.  Atlanta defeated the best the Eastern Conference has to offer in the Boston Celtics, and the Magic were upset on the road in Washington.  The loss was Orlando’s 4th in a row, while Atlanta now has a mini two game win streak on their side.  The Hawks are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.  Orlando also happens to be one of the NBA’s most predominant home teams this season, with a record of 13-4 at Amway Arena in Orlando, FLA.

Free Pick – MAGIC -3.5 (-110)

Indiana Pacers @ Oklahoma City Thunder – Oklahoma had the night off last night, while the Pacers dropped a decision on the road to the Minnesota Timberwolves.  All of the numbers go to the Thunder in this one.  The Thunder are 5-1 ATS against the Eastern Conference, 6-0 ATS in their last 6 playing on 2 days rest, 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a below .400 winning percentage, and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5.  Needless to say, take the Thunder to cover the spread tonight at home.

Free Pick – Thunder -8.5 (-110)

Denver Nuggets @ Sacramento Kings – The Denver Nuggets come into this one fresh off a big home victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, while the Sacramento Kings were knocked off on the road by the Golden State Warriors.  Sacramento has an impressive home record of 11-8, while Denver is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog of 0.5 – 4.5.  The underdog is 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings between these two teams.  I like the road underdog tonight coming off a big win last night.

Free Pick – NUGGETS +1.5 (-110)
