Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors Pick – NBA October 30, 2021

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors are at the Chase Center on Saturday night in the Bay Area. The Thunder are looking for another big performance after a 123-115 win against the LA Lakers.

They clawed back and showed a lot of grit after getting down by a score of 41-19 after the 1st quarter. That was a terrible collapse for the Lakers, but what a good effort it was for the Thunder.

A lot of bad teams just give up in a spot like that. It was the first win for OKC this season. They were going into that matchup winless in four games.

That was until Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Luguentz Dort, and Darius Bazley all came through with big performances. They all scored at least 17 points in the win. This isn’t a team without any talent.

Gilgeous-Alexander and Dort are two of the more underrated players in the league. With all of the draft picks that OKC have in their possession, the future looks bright for the Thunder.

They face a tall task on the road versus a Warriors team that has looked like one of the best in the NBA through five games.

Despite coming off a loss against the Grizzlies in overtime, 104-101, I like what I’ve seen from this group. It’s hard to fault the Warriors, and this looks like a team that would be a serious contender with Klay Thompson back.

The Warriors and Thunder met in OKC on October 26, with the Warriors winning by a score of 106-98. That wasn’t the best performance for the Warriors, and they still won by 8 points.

They got behind early, but dominated the second-half when their competitive juices kicked in. It seemed like the Dubs treated them too lightly after getting by 11 points at halftime. Head below for our free Thunder vs. Warriors pick on October 30, 2021.

Thunder vs. Warriors Prediction:

The offense for the Thunder was non-existent before they exploded in their comeback bid against the Lakers.

They erased a 20-point plus lead to overtake the Lakers for a 123-115 win. Leading up to that game, the Thunder averaged 94.5 points per game.

As a result of their 123-point effort, the Thunder got up to 100.2 points per game on the season. That’s not a compliment for the Thunder.

Scoring has been down this season because of new defensive rules, but 100.2 points per game is only 28th in the NBA.

They’ve struggled mightily to hit threes, which is going to be required to keep with the Warriors. The Thunder are 26th in the NBA with a success rate of 31.1% from beyond the arc.

Conversely, the Warriors are shooting 37.4% from three and 46% from the field, both seventh in the league. The Thunder have allowed teams to shoot freely, as opponents are shooting 47.7% from the field, 27th defensively in the NBA.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Trends:

  • 3-8 ATS in their previous 11 games
  • 1-5 ATS in their previous six games after a win
  • 0-6 ATS in their previous six games as an underdog on the road
  • 2-8 ATS in their previous ten games on two-day rest
  • 8-22 ATS in their previous 30 games after scoring 100 points or more

  • 6-1 ATS in their previous seven games after a loss
  • 8-3 ATS in their previous 11 games
  • 6-2 ATS in their previous eight games
  • 7-3 ATS in their previous ten games after failing to cover the spread

The Thunder came back to erase a big deficit, while the Warriors blew a comfortable lead against the Grizzlies. The Grizz aren’t a team to sleep on, so the Warriors have no one to blame but themselves.

After such a big win for the Thunder against a team like the Lakers, I could see them going on the road and taking this game off. They got hot against the Lakers, but could see the Warriors’ defense tightening up.

The Warriors went through the motions in OKC on Tuesday and still came out with a 106-98 win. Coming off a blown game versus the Grizzlies, expect Golden State to come out running and firing. Look for the Dubs to pull away in the second-half and secure a 117-103 win.
