The NBA always does it up in grand fashion for Martin Luther King Day, and this year is no exception with festivities kicking off in the early afternoon and matinee games all over the place and games continuing until well past midnight EST. There are a ton of games to choose from today, and many have unique start times, so be sure to make sure you have the accurate starting time for any action you like today.
Yesterday was a quiet day in the Association, and we took a resounding loss with the Clippers heading into Orlando and absolutely dominating the Magic in a blowout win. Even getting close to double digits at home wasn’t nearly enough to make yesterday a winning one. We will try to bounce back today and start a fresh winning streak this week with a Monday winner.

Toronto Raptors at Milwaukee Bucks +1.5
Something just isn’t quite right in Toronto with the Raptors. Yes, they have DeRozan back, but even the return of their All Star shooting guard didn’t help them against Atlanta as they got absolutely destroyed at home. Not that losing to Atlanta, or even by a wide margin, is a disgrace, a lot of teams are lately. They lost a second straight home game last night to the Pelicans without Anthony Davis.
But even beyond that New Orleans game (which constitutes the lowest point thus far in the slide), nearly every quality opponent the Raptors face lately beats them. They are 2-7 over their last nine games with their only two wins coming at home over Philly and Boston. They have lost home games to Atlanta, Detroit and Charlotte and gone on the road unsuccessfully against Phoenix, Golden State and Portland. They’ve lost to some good teams, but lately the losses have become harder to justify.
Now enter the Milwaukee Bucks. Despite a winning record overall and wining three of their last four and six of their last nine, they continue to get no love at the Vegas oddsmaking table. They are underdogs tonight at home against a scuffling team despite that solid record. They are a fantastic 27-13 ATS for the season, tops in the league, and here we go again, giving them a point at home.
I’ll take the young Bucks to play well tonight and keep the Raps struggles continuing. Toronto is 0-5 ATS in their last five games against teams with winning records and 0-5 straight-up as well. I’ll take Milwaukee, who has covered at a 67% clip this season to win at home.
