One of the more memorable series in recent NBA history is going to come to a close tonight, and regardless of the outcome, we are in store for one awesome NBA Finals story line and some pretty great drama tonight.
Can the Warriors complete their improbably comeback? Down 3-1 and thoroughly outplayed, they fought back to win a tense Game Five, and pulled off a historic fourth quarter comeback on the road in Oklahoma City in Game Six when it looked like their dream season was going to come to an anticlimactic early conclusion. Now, all they have to do tonight is something they did 39 times in the regular season; won one home game.
But will it be that easy? Vegas seems to think the Dubs have already dodged their bullet and are now in good shape. They enter tonight as solid seven point favorites.
So who is going to the Finals? Let’s see if we can wrap up a series that has been tricky to handicap with a winning pick…

Today’s Free Pick:
Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors -7 (Total: 218) – Western Conference Finals GAME SEVEN
If NBA history tells us anything, it is that the home team wins Game Seven. Like, almost always. And almost always without a ton of daredevil highwire drama. The home team usually wins convincingly, so as hard as it is to see Durant and Westbrook get rolled tonight, history says it is very likely to happen.
The Warriors will be full of confidence and have little fear heading into tonight’s game. Game Four was disheartening. Game Five helped them find their rhythm. Game Six’s conclusion saw the return of their swagger. I like them to come out blazing tonight and put a ton of offensive pressure on the Thunder to try and keep up. And at the end of the day, it is really hard to outscore the Warriors if they are playing an efficient offensive game and shooting the ball well.
Conventional wisdom say home team rolls. But I still don’t think the Thunder are ready to pack it up and fold up shop. It took a historic performance from Klay Thompson to keep the Warriors alive. And while I think they will make just enough plays to win at home, I think the Thunder, who have scored EASIER this whole series, will make them really earn it.
I’m banking on another classic tonight; more Spurs/Clippers from last year style Game Seven than some of the disappointing snoozers we have seen more often.
