Minnesota Timberwolves vs Memphis Grizzlies NBA Pick – Game 2

The NBA is set up with another strong slate of playoff action on Tuesday night. Three games are up on the board throughout April 19. One of these games will be between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies. These two teams will look for a pivotal win as they meet up in Game 2. This game will tip off at around 7:30 PM Eastern time on TNT.

Minnesota earned a record of 46-36 throughout this season, which had them grab the seventh spot in the Western Conference. The Timberwolves were able to earn a big upset win in the first game of the series. Minnesota will look to step up early in this one as well as they try to go up 2-0 before they head home. I expect the Timberwolves to come out fast on the road in this one.

The Grizzlies put up a record of 56-26 during the regular season, which helped them get the second seed in the Western Conference. Memphis took a tough loss in Game 1, but will look to bounce back in this one. The Grizzlies will look to make some adjustments on Tuesday night. Memphis will look to pick up their play early at home on Tuesday.

These two teams have been solid throughout this season and will look for a big win on Tuesday night.

The Timberwolves have struggled a bit more on the season, but grabbed a huge win to open the series. Memphis will look to turn it around early in this one to avoid a big 2-0 deficit. If either team can come out fast in this one, it could be enough for the win.

Field Goal Shooting

The Timberwolves have struggled a bit shooting the ball on the regular season. Minnesota made 45.7 percent of their shots from the field, which was 22nd in the league. The Timberwolves shot 35.8 percent from deep, which was 12th in the NBA. Minnesota also sunk 77.8 percent of their shots from the charity stripe, which was 14th in the league.

Memphis struggled a bit shooting the ball as well during the regular season. The Grizzlies were shooting 46.1 percent from the field, which was 19th in the NBA. Top Performers

Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards were the leaders for Minnesota during the regular season. Towns averaged 24.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Edwards was averaging 21.3 points per game. D’Angelo Russell averaged 18.1 points and 7.1 assists per game. Malik Beasley rounded out the lineup, averaging 12.1 points per game.

Ja Morant was great for the Grizzlies this season. Morant was averaging 27.4 points and 6.7 assists per game. De’Anthony Melton was averaged 10.8 points per game. Brandon Clarke was averaging 10.4 points to round out this lineup.

These two teams will look for their stars to step up early in this one. Malik Beasley stepped up in Game 1 for the Timberwolves, but Russell had a rough start to the series. Melton had a really rough game for Memphis, only scoring two points. Both teams will look for some players to step up early in this one as they look for a big win in Game 2.

Pick Overview

The Timberwolves were able to steal Game 1 of this series on the road and will look to earn another big win before going home. Memphis has been the better team on the season and I think they will come out fast in this one. The Grizzlies have the better defense and the more rounded lineup. If Memphis can come out fast, I think they can control this one.

Bovada has the Grizzlies listed as a -7 against the money line in this one.

This gives a solid edge to Memphis at home. I agree with this line as the Grizzlies try to come out fast after losing at home in Game 1. Memphis was shaking off some rest early and I think they will come out better. I like the value on the Grizzlies to cover this spread.
