The hottest team in the NBA for the last two months at home against a team with that is 5-12 SU in their last 17 road games? Is it that simple?? Read on for some Heat v. Timberwolves facts.
We took the L last night with the Raptors completely no-showing at home, but we still enter tonight ten games up for the NBA season and looking to pad the record a little more before the postseason begins in less than a month. There are a bunch of games on the schedule, and again, it is like the NBA knew it will get mostly swallowed up by March Madness today from an interest/viewing standpoint and decided to offer up a bunch of “games” without offering up anything anyone might actually be casually interested in watching.
As always, we aren’t looking for mere entertainment, we are looking for VALUE and exploitable lines, and there is one I like tonight and it involves us heading back to a familiar well spring down in South Beach.
Let’s go visit DFW (that’s Dion Freakin’ Waiters baby!) and see if our new besties can bring us some more free money…
Today’s NBA Pick:
Minnesota Timberwolves at Miami Heat -4.5
If you don’t know what is going on down in Miami these days, it is probably best you don’t wager on Sports. Seriously. You should probably get some T-Bills or no-load mutual funds. NBA betting isn’t for you.
But for the rest of you (all of you assumedly, since you are, well, HERE), this Miami gravy train is getting ridiculous. They have reeled off just short of a million straight wins. In all seriousness, they are only 22-5 SU in the last two months, good for the best record in the NBA. Meanwhile, Minnesota has been showing some signs of revival as well, covering nine of their last eleven games and playing generally good basketball.
But Miami is LAVA. Red hot. Scorching. Even as the world starts betting on them and the lines widen and adjust, they are still covering. They have covered five straight games overall. They have covered five straight home games. And, again, they are the best team in the NBA over the last two months.
Minnesota is just 5-12 SU in their last 17 road games and are 10-22 on the road overall this season.
I’ll take the hot team and the home team, especially at a very favorable line at just minus four and a half points.
I hate to make it overly-simple, but until things change, I am all-in on the Miami Heat and their remarkable playoff resurgence. Coach Spo for Coach of the Year, and the Heat for ATM of 2017.
Today’s Pick: Miami Heat -4.5
