The Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers clash at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night. This is a big night for Paul George, as he is scheduled to make his return to the floor.
George hasn’t played since a 105-89 win over the Sacramento Kings on December 22. The Clippers were playing pretty well without Kawhi Leonard and George active, but both absent has been a lot for the team to handle.

Leonard’s return may not be far behind George. There are rumors that Leonard could be ready for a return to the court soon, though the team hasn’t confirmed anything. They could need both of them soon.
The Clippers are 36-39 and have the eight-best record in the Western Conference. In an attempt to avoid the play-in tournament and shake off the rust for the playoffs, George and Leonard back would be big for the Clippers.
The top-seeded teams that have to meet the Clippers in the playoffs aren’t going to look at this as fair. They worked hard to get a high seed to avoid playing a talented team and get dealt the Clippers.
The Clippers enter on a five-game losing streak and losses in six of their previous seven attempts. George is coming back at the perfect time. On the other side, the Jazz have lost four in a row.

Utah is coming off a lackluster performance in Dallas versus the Mavericks. They had no response after losing to the Charlotte Hornets, 107-101, which came after a 125-97 loss to the Boston Celtics.
This is the sixth and final stop for the Jazz on a road trip that began on March 20 at Madison Square Garden. Head below for our free Jazz vs. Clippers prediction on March 29, 2022.
Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Clippers Betting Odds and Team Statistics:
The following odds are courtesy of MyBookie:
|Utah Jazz||-2 (-105)||-128||Over 217.5 (-110)|

|Points Per Game||113.3||106.7|
|Points Against Per Game||107.6||108.3|
|Field Goal %||47.0||45.3|
|Three Point %||36.3||36.4|
Jazz vs. Clippers Prediction:
The Jazz offense has been non-existent recently during this road trip. They opened with a 108-93 win at Madison Square Garden versus the Knicks, but then didn’t get much else.
Through their last five outings, the Jazz have scored an average of 102.4 points per game and a 44.3% field goal percentage. That’s not very Jazz-like.
Overall this season, the Jazz are sixth in the league with 113.3 points per game. During this road trip, they’ve just looked disinterested in playing, though.
On the road this season, the Jazz have averaged 110.4 points per game and a 46.1% field goal percentage. They’re falling well below that mark as of late.
The Clippers have depended on their defensive effort. Especially without a healthy lineup, the Clippers have needed to win games by playing hard defense.
They kind of got it away from it at times over the last month, but George back on the floor should put the defense back in good standing.
They are going into tonight with 107.6 points against per game for tenth in the NBA. I’m anticipating a good and inspired effort with George finally back.
Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Clippers Betting Trends:
- 0-4 ATS in their previous four games
- 4-16-1 ATS in their previous 21 games on the road
- 1-4 ATS in their previous five games on one-day rest
- 1-9 ATS in their previous ten games after a loss by more than 10 points
- 0-4 ATS in their previous four games at Los Angeles
- 4-1 ATS in their previous five games at home
- 7-3 ATS in their previous ten games
- 4-1 ATS in their previous five games versus the Jazz
- 4-0 ATS in their previous four games versus the Jazz at home
- UNDER is 7-3 in their previous ten games
The Utah defense is good, it just isn’t as physical and dominant as it was a year ago. They are tenth with 107.6 points against per game and 11th with a 45.3% field goal percentage allowed. Nothing wrong with that, but the Jazz were on an elite level in 2020-21.
Utah may also be without a key component of their defense tonight. Rudy Gobert is listed as questionable. His status is currently up in the air. If he’s unable to go, that’s a big rim protector out of this one. Gobert will not be at 100% in any event.
George suiting up should give the Clippers a big confidence boost tonight. Team morale should translate to a solid effort versus the Jazz. Another bad shooting night and the Jazz could fall behind quickly. In a game between teams looking to bounce back, I’m going with the Clippers.
