There will be a big PAC-10 matchup taking place on Saturday as the UCLA Bruins will host the Arizona Wildcats. The Bruins entre the game with a 3-4 record (2-5 ATS) ,while the Wildcats are 6-1 (4-3 ATS). Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST.
Arizona is playing some great football and would be perfect on the season, except for a tough 2 point loss against Oregon State a few weeks ago. The team has rebounded nicely since then, winning two straight, including a 44-14 beat down of Washington last week. The team has played some tremendous defense so far this season, holding opponents to just 285 yards per game, which ranks 10th in the nation. They are also 7th in the NCAA in points allowed, at just 13.4 per game. On offense, Quarterback Nick Foles leads the 14th ranked passing attack in the country. He has thrown for 1600 yards and 9 touchdowns, versus just 5 interceptions. Tailback Nic Grigsby has run the ball effectively and has 9 touchdowns on the season.

UCLA, on the other hand, is a team that is having major struggles. They have lost two straight and were absolutely embarrassed last week against Oregon, getting pounded by a score of 60-13. Nothing has really gone right for this once proud PAC-10 school, as both the offense and defense have struggled mightily this season. The team is 102nd in the nation in yards per game on offense. They are putting up just 314.4 per game and this is mostly due to a passing attack that ranks 117th. The defense has not been much better, allowing 400 yards per game, which ranks 85th in the NCAA. They are also giving up over 30 points per game.

Arizona vs. UCLA Betting Predictions:
Game Total Prediction (TOP PLAY) – UCLA gave up 60 points last week and has given up 28 or more in 5 of their 7 matchups this season. Arizona, meanwhile, is averaging over 33 points per game and is likely to put up near that many in this one. UCLA has managed to score over 21 per game, despite struggling to move the pigskin on offense. So the total is set just about right. The team’s have seen their last two head to head matchups go under the posted total and UCLA has had 22 of their last 30 home games go under.
Spread Prediction – This is truly a battle of two teams moving in the opposite direction. Arizona has dreams of winning the PAC-10 still and getting to Pasadena, while UCLA looks as far away from contention as ever. The home team has gone 6-1 ATS in the last 7 head to head matchups between these two teams. UCLA has to be embarrassed by last week’s effort against Oregon and should come out hungry enough to keep it close at home.
