Thursday Night Football preseason Week Five NFL game features the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts. The game, one of sixteen this night, will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN. Game time for the Colts vs Bengals Week Five matchup is set for 7:00 pm EST and with this one being on the turf of Indy, look for some high-flying offensive displays from these two teams, backups included.
The Indianapolis Colts have increased their point total over every game in the preseason, though Indy’s opponents have done it similarly with the Packers in last week’s game, hitting the 59 point mark. Wouldn’t look for much from the Colts in this one as QB Peyton Manning has learned and stretched the new rules and these teams are also set to meet in Week Ten. Joseph Addai looked great early in last week’s game and as the returning AFC South Division champions; they look to get out of this one healthy and just tie up some loose ends.
Putting up points is not the issue for the Cincinnati Bengals. Penalties and turnovers hurt these Bengals last week against the Buffalo Bills. Plus any able bodied RB can run all day with an above-average O-Line. In a competitive, but not-to-tough division, if they do not meet or beat their record of 10-6 previously, it will be a disappointment. All the defensive starters are back and looking healthy. Cincinnati has a tough schedule this year with an unlucky twist. They will be facing the Steelers Weeks 9 and 14, which will miss the entire suspension of Pittsburgh signal-caller Ben Roethlisberger, negating any advantage or soft spot in the schedule.

Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals Prediction for Preseason Week 4 Game:
Over Under Prediction (TOP PLAY) – The over seems likely and is my top play as I am 100% in picking them for ‘The Sports Geek’. (Check the posts!) With Addai running on the Bengals D and the powerful offenses, both teams have a nose for the end zone come the fourth quarter in their backup filled affairs this preseason. This should be a shoe in. The colts have gone over this number, giving up this much too almost three consecutive opponents. PREDICTION – OVER 36.5
Spread Prediction – The reason I can comfortably bet on the Bengals versus the Colts is that Indianapolis know how to win games, they have no problem in even giving away games at the end of the year if they think it will help their Superbowl chances. I am banking on this being one of those types of games and as long as Cincinnati shows up and their players come to play, I know they can cover this big spread and win by a touchdown. PREDICTION – BENGALS COVER -6.5
