BYU vs Oklahoma September 5 Betting Odds and Predictions

The Brigham Young Cougars (BYU) take on the Oklahoma Sooners in tonight’s (September 5) Saturday night game to kick off the 2009 college football season for each team.  BYU comes into the season ranked 20th, while Oklahoma is ranked 3rd.  This is one of the most anticipated games in the week 1 schedule, featuring two of the best QBs playing college football – Heisman winner Sam Bradford and Max Hall.  Last season the Oklahoma Sooners went 12-2 before losing in the BCS title game to Florida.  Brigham Young had a respectable 10-3 record last year.  Betting Odds, Lines, Picks and Predictions can be found below.

BYU vs Oklahoma Predictions and Picks:

Spread – Take BYU to beat the 23 point spread in this game at -110.  This game is being played at a neutral stadium in Texas so it isn’t a home game for Oklahoma.  Hall should be able to run the offense pretty well against Oklahoma and put up some scores.  If the BYU defense can play a strong game against a very good Oklahoma offense, BYU should be able to beat the 23 point spread .  Bet on BYU on the spread.

Over/Under 64 – I like the over in this BYU vs Oklahoma match up in the first week of the season.  Defenses won’t be playing their best games, and with two very threatening offenses look for this one to be high scoring.  Bet on Over 64 at -110 odds at
