Cardinals Rams Spread Line and Prediction Week 1

Let me start of by saying the NFC West is the worse division in football. Alright now that I’ve said that let’s move on shall we. Derek Anderson and the Arizona Cardinals will travel to St Louis to try and blow them out of the water. Two teams have never been moving in more opposite directions. The Rams have hoped they found their Franchise QB, while the Cardinals are just hoping Derek Anderson can be average. Then you have the Cardinals who have won the division back to back years, but may be slowly losing their grip on it and the Rams who are just hoping to have a chance to win the division in the near future. It won’t take better than 9 or 10 wins to win this division. Game starts at 4:15 pm EST

The Cardinals have decided to end the Matt Leinart experiment a little bit earlier than anticipated, but who are we to question. Bottom line is Derek Anderson is the new starting QB and will be throwing to the likes of Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston. It seems like the Cardinals are going to try to run the ball a little more than years past. Derek Anderson had one good year with Cleveland and I’m pretty sure he won’t be handed the keys just yet. I do believe Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower at RB will help Anderson though. What I am not so sure about is their now suspect defense. Losing Antrel Rolle and Karlos Dansby via free agency was a huge loss for this team, adding Joey Porter was a desperation move, and they still haven’t established a solid #2 cornerback opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

As for the Rams, everybody is talking about how great Sam Bradford looked in the preseason, well I have one word for you it’s Preseason. The kid can play we all know this, but let him do it consistently before we start praising him. He has a horrible offensive line, below average receivers, a defense who would allow 50 points to my flag football team. He does have Steven Jackson and that should help because he is one of the best in the NFL, but other than that he has nobody and given the fact he lost Donnie Avery for the season makes the situation worse. Please don’t tell me you think Laurent Robinson is the answer. I’m not saying Bradford will be bad, but he isn’t going to win you games at this point. On defense James Laurinaitis and O.J Atogwe, are solid, Chris Long has potential, but has been a bust. Am I forgetting anyone “Buehler, Buehler” anyone, guess not.

Cardinals vs Rams Spread, Line and Predictions:

Arizona Cardinals -4
@ St Louis Rams +4

Spread Prediction (Top Play): Is this a joke?? Ever run into somebody giving away money, I haven’t either, but don’t ask questions. I’ll make this simple, Cardinals have an offense, and Rams have Steven Jackson. Cardinals have a defense, Rams don’t.

Game Total:

Over (-110)
Under (-110)

Game Total Prediction: Rams may get a TD or maybe some field goals, but I won’t fully commit to Derek Anderson like I would to Peyton Manning. I can see a 28-10 game and that’s only 38. Best Advice here is to take the under.

Game Total Prediction: Under 39 (-110)
